I have a theory as to why Infection has been taking so long to seep into Halo 5 and just hear me out and tell me what you think afterwards however, if you think this crackpot theory is tangible I’d like you to try to get 343 to “catch the infection”
Like Forge, 343 wishes to make all the popular gametypes of the franchise 10x bigger than their predecessor. So without further ado, here’s what I think is going on behind the curtain.
•With infection they want to make the infected more stretchy if you will. For instance giving the infected a choice of “Abilities” to use (i.e. tackle, leap, instinct, etc.) Or perhaps even a choice of what model your infected take form of (flood, zombie, Elites ((please?)), etc.) Maybe even go the extra mile and make a customizable flood model with the corresponding update. (FULL CUSTOMIZATION PLEASE)
To end this off I’d like to throw in a short bunch of “Abilities/Attributes” for the infected and human players
Abilities subject to change and list is incomplete
Human players could have default Spartan abilities or a choice of the following
Ability 1: Medical- Can cure an infected player so long as the player is alive after initial encounter
Ability 2: Stalker- Ability to see in low light situations for a short time with Night Vision
Ability 3: 
Infected:
Ability 1: Alpha - Powerful but slow
Ability 2: Omega - Less damage but more speed
Ability 3: Primal - Default Spartan abilities with an infected twist. (I.e. Ground pound would be called Lunge and Thrusters would be Leap)
