On 2 occasions (so far)this game has either crashed or frozen up during the final part of a mission. Crashed on PC and Frozen Up on Console. From the Crash I lost half of my progress on that mission. I can’t remember the name of the mission but this happened on the second mission you fight Decimus. This was worse than the game crashing. I think this is what you would call a soft lock. As I described it the game froze up. It happened on 2 seperate occasions during the mission. The first time it lasted at least 20 seconds and corrected itself after bringing up the xbox dashboard. The second was with 2 minutes left and it wouldn’t fix itself this time, it would let me pause but that was delayed. I tried to save but that wouldn’t wouldn’t work. I had to reset the game to make it work. Also, minor complaint about that mission. If you are going to give me a moment to rebuild my forces, give me enough time to actually build something.
My other complaint is changing the difficulty which I just figured out. There is no clear way to change the difficulty. At first I thought maybe I was locked into normal until I beat the game then I saw in a loading screen that says you could change it. There is nothing that tells you how to change it and there isn’t an option to do so in Game Settings or the Campaign Menu. So I had to figure this out. You have to go to Mission Select, pick the mission you want and then pick the Difficulty, that or star a new campaign to select difficulty select the Difficulty. Here’s the thing, I don’t remember being given a choice when I initially started Campaign.
I would also like to take the chance to share this complaint from TotalBuscuit. I don’t care what your opinion of him is, that doesn’t make this issue any less valid. It’s about the Options Menu on PC and Key Bindings.

He nitpicks on the options menu but that isn’t everything wrong with the menus. Yes it is easy to get to campaign, multiplayer and blitz but it gets annoying when you want to tweak settings. Creative Assembly. The ENTIRE menu needs an overhaul because Essemble Studios did a better job.
