My Common Sense Wishlist

This wishlist does not include gameplay changes or content already announced by 343i. Id be rambling like a baby now:

  • Be organized: I think people like to go through their customization AT LEAST in alphabetical order for a start. Even the custom games map menu needs to have separation from what is a forge world, BTB or arena map. Or even in Warzone, have the weapons be in some time of order to find things and not by what you unlocked first. Also, the multiplayer menu needs to be a type of columns of modes to choose from like the other games. - Veto System: Or a voting system. You have like… over 10 different BTB maps and I play the same 3-4 maps every game (Guillotine, Deadlock, Traffic Jam, Fractured). This including Warzone and Arena. I haven’t even play half the maps in Halo 5 and ive been playing since Launched. Just modify it by amount of votes to how many recently played the map. - Offline Content: The offline Content in Halo 5 is lacking. I hope in Halo 6, I could at least custom games and forge by myself. Especially since split-screen will be coming back I hope. - Hand-made Maps: The forge is amazing! I personally still don’t know how to use it but I know its great. Makes some map look real and not forged but it’d be nice for actual hand made maps. - More open space: This is mainly directed to Warzone and BTB. All the maps seem to have a small vehicle trail that leads to a moderate size of land to fight on. Normally that land is always taking advantage of with all the cliffs and sharp corners. It would be nice for some bigger maps that fit mainly for vehicles like Valhalla again.Yeah that is about it, I hope it is agreeable. Anyone have any disagreements then Idc its my opinion.

I woud rather have a veto system than a voting system because with people voting sometimes you just play the same maps and game types over and over. This is from my experience with the voting sysytem. Others may have different ones.

Yeah, randomised maps kind of just don’t have you play the same maps over and over. Thing is there’s still a chance for it to happen and it is programmatic

I think it should stay with random maps, cause atleast there is a chance you will play the maps you want. Cause if you like unpopular maps then everyone will pretty much Veto it out of the lobby or vote another map to oblivion.

This is why I said to modify the system by amount of votes vs how many people recently played them. If people recently played the map over and over and voted for it again, the vote of players that recently played the map will out-vote the others that played it.

yes, map voting, got so tired of playing snipers on Molten without any say in the matter.

Totally second this. If there is any sort of veto/vote system, it should be a veto one. When players are asked to reject one map instead of picking from a set of, say, three, they take time to consider whether it’s worth vetoing. Rejecting one less favorable map/gametype might mean potentially getting an even worse one. In contrast, a voting system allows players to repeatedly choose the same maps over and over again, leading to boredom.

These examples are evident in Halo 3 and Reach. In 3, the maps I played on were diverse and it did not seem to get repetitive. Sure, there were a couple maps that almost always got vetoed, but that’s because they were universally disliked. Whereas in Reach with it’s multi-round voting system, a different map always got rejected since players would always vote in favor of maps from the same small set.

in terms of customisation:get rid of at least half of the helmet, visor colour, and torso variants. so many helmets and torsos that are the same or look crap (also get rid of the variant helmet types, perhaps let people customise their own stripes etc.). also the visor colours? i have a legendary rampant visor colour that looks the same as the common red visor? if youre going to have different visor colours, make the legendarys stand out!

I think the customization of armor should return to the way it was in Reach. We should have the ability to fully customize our armor to our liking. And emblems should be unlocked by default. I can get behind the REQ system for vehicles and weapons so long as it is only used for the Warzone game type.

I also want Fire Fight back, Reach style, with full customization options.

And I want the ability to enjoy playing multiplayer offline. You know, like with some friends on the couch or as part of a LAN party. I want the ability to use Forge while offline, and create custom game types… basically, I want to be able to do everything offline that I could do from Halo 2 up through Halo 4.

And lastly, I want to hear the Halo Theme playing the background of the game’s main menu, to get me pumped and excited every time I put the disc in my console.

We need to mix in Halo 4 armor customization, Reach’s is great but it needs changeable armor like in Halo 4, combine Reach and 4’s armor customization and you have the best armor customization

while i dont care for any offline content i do see why people would want it. i have nothing against it

all the rest i agree on. the veto/voting system for maps usually will result in only playing the most popular ones. but usually theyre most popular because theyre good
