I think that would confuse a lot of people in not knowing who is on your team. If your blue, red is enemy and vise versa.
There needs to be a definitive way to tell what Spartan is on what team. The best way to do that is to have specific team colors. Red and blue work well.
Free-for-all let’s you see your colors, so there’s that.

just what i was about to say. my level 15 spartan and my level 40 hunter guardian are not the same
If all else fails, dive in to the rumble pit for some Free For All. Armor color has always been red vs. blue in Halo to keep players from becoming confused or team killing.
All hell would break loose if this were changed.
Ok, for all the people who say it’s “too hard” to tell the difference if there was no Red and Blue teams; have you ever played another shooter besides Halo? Its really not all that hard… like at all. Go play a round of Battlefield, Destiny, or something, and you’ll see what I mean.
But still, we should keep RvB, just feels better. It feels like Halo.
If you take away Red vs Blue you will upset a very loyal fan base. The world could quite possibly end! I myself would be very upset to see the end of Red vs. Blue. I do not do well with change (especially for a franchise that has been out for more than a decade)
I’d love to see a battlefield-styled Halo, maybe when I’m aimed down sights I won’t telescope out whenever I’m hit and maps will have a nice level of destruction like Reach had, loved breaking glass in both those games, not going to lie. And as for colors, I don’t like the pallet. I find it very…lackluster. Bob Ross would be saddened. XD

Well in Battlefield there are still different uniforms each team wears. And please let’s not talk of Destiny it is THE WORST MULTIPLAYER I HAVE EVER PLAYED, EVER!
If 343 had added the option to play as your Spartan in the campaign, once you go through and beat it as the chief/locke, and had added Firefight then there would have been the opportunity to use your Spartan with your choice of colors. Plus as others have said before there is always Free For All, if they added infection that I believe you could use your choice of colors too.
Red vs Blue all the way.
