I’ll keep this post short and too the point. If the developers want additional details, they can contact me at my registered email address.
I’m a casual gamer. By that, I mean I simply play video games to have fun. With a full time professional job that leaves me little free time to play video games but affords me the financial freedom and flexibility to buy a PC gaming rig, PS4, and XBOX ONE, I have neither the time nor inclination to spend countless hundreds of hours perfecting my aim or gaming skills.
HALO5 is my last HALO game. I simply don’t find it fun to play.
I don’t have the time or desire to become a pro gamer. But I sense that is what’s required for me to play reasonably well in HALO5. I’m a decent FPS gamer (BF4, COD, Destiny, etc.), but you wouldn’t know that by how hard I’ve found HALO5 multiplayer gameplay to be. I find it very frustrating to aim and hit enemy soldiers. Apparently, it must be just me, since they have no problems landing headshot after headshot against me.
Consequently, I don’t find HALO5 multiplayer much fun at all.
I just want to buy and play video games that are fun to play and relatively simple to learn. I found that DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront fit that bill perfectly. So, I’ll buy more of those kinds of FPS games that cater to casual gamers like me.
Thank you for your time and attention.
Okay, if you don’t find it enjoyable, then all the power to you. There is an aiming fix coming so that might help, and warzone and social playlists might help as well, but don’t expect the core of the game to cater to the casual crowd anymore in the future.
You see, you say you’re decent at fps games then list CoD And Destiny as games you’re good at, this legitimately sounds like a git good situation, cause those games are casual as -Yoink-.
I freely admitted that I am a casual gamer, having neither the time nor inclination to spend hundreds of hours perfecting muscle motion to land headshot after headshot.
I can afford to buy a game like HALO5 thinking it would be a fun game for me, but realizing that it caters to a more serious, professional gamer.
In the future, I won’t make that mistake. I’ll stay with the casual games like COD, Star Wars Battlefront, BF4, etc.
Halo is harder than any fps I’ve played, and I’m decent. I have a hard time figuring out how to use the weapons, but I do after a while. I do hate the fact that they did not separate casual from competitive in this, but I have learned to live with it. I ignore the snobs who think they are the best but can’t do anything, and I have never been one for being really competitive.
I don’t mind when gamers are proud of their skills, after devoting hundreds of hours perfecting them. They have every right to enjoy a game that caters to that mindset.
But for me, HALO5 multiplayer isn’t as fun as other games which cater to casual gamers like me. So that’s where my money will be going in the future.
We all make mistakes and hopefully learn from them.

Not saying casual’s bad, anyway I’d stick around till first playlist update bro.
Also if you do bother to climb the learning curve, I assure you high-level gameplay is quite rewarding.

I agree that this game is probably incredibly rewarding to professional gamers and those gamers who are willing to put in the time to master HALO5’s multiplayer gameplay.
Regrettably, I just don’t have an abundance of time available to do this.
Thankfully, HALO5 also came with a single player campaign so it’s not a total loss of money. But I won’t buy future 343 games now that I know who their intended gaming audience is.

You don’t have to be pro level to be good, it pretty much the same as Destiny, memorizing map and spawn layout and practice using the weapons with lower aim assist will put you well on your way.
Also I say wait for the playlist update because they will most likely reintroduce some of the more casual “just for fun” playlists.

How will the “casual gamer” playlist differ from the current ones? Is it just a list of maps?
Are some maps geared towards pro gamers instead of casual ones? Thanks.

It’s as if my bullets are made of rubber. They simply bounce off the enemy. But that isn’t the case for the enemy’s bullets, as I get killed rather quickly.
