Hey Everyone, So I am a first time poster Long time Halo player and at the end of my High school career I wrote my own story based in the Halo universe. inspired by the writing style of Eric Nylund the Author of Fall of reach. His humanization of our beloved Spartans was no less than epic. And from when I started writing in 2010, to graduation day in 2013 I wrote, and Wrote until i finished writing Spartan-095. My book follows a relatively unknown spartan through the training process, armoring, and even one of the pivotal conflicts on planet Reach. However I cannot publish this book on my own, as 343 and Microsoft own the rights to the Universe and usually publish the books. So hopefully with you Spartan’s interest and God willing the powers that be will see this post and Hopefully have some sort of interest. I already even have support on my Facebook page for it, if you would like to visit it, Facebook, that would be a great help to me and hopefully get a new fresh Spartan Book in the hands of future fans,and keep the current platoon satiated. Why don’t you just send it to 343/Microsoft? I doubt any of the higher ups would come and look at this forum. All I can say is good luck, 343 isn’t much for publisshing fan fiction. Although there were references to the fan made comic “A Fistful Of Arrow” which follows Noble Team before Reach and Jun getting off Reach. But it’s still not officially canon.

As for the actual work, I wish you luck, but it is basically just fanfiction; it’s going to have to be excellent to get their attention. No offense or anything, but even looking over the facebook group I’m seeing a lot of grammar and spelling errors.

Anyway, wasn’t Spartan 095 (Calab Aagard) missing during the abductions, and so was never conscripted in to the Spartan Program. You could argue that she found someone else to become 095. But when Halsey had her budget cut and she went from 150 candidates to 75, she kept the original numbers for the spartans. So my thinking is that she wouldnt just replace 095, so much as designate a new number for the replacement.

Thanks for the input, i actually went to both xbox and microsoft support no one was able to get me into contact with anyone in 343 however i tried to send my idea through the developer application and said i would love to publish a book in their universe, so my next step was to hopefully get a following on here and face book in hopes someone “Important” would see it. hopefully you get the chance to checkout my page

understood, and when i started writing it I don’t think 095 was cannon the hope is if 343 somehow does get into contact and they need me to change the number i will. also on the errors the excerpt i did post to the page was bound to have errors as i did a quick spell check and copied it from the actual manuscript. Even books that are published and retail ready have errors…I’m only human and can’t catch all my spelling mistakes but i am currently working on re-editing to make a definitive edition. If its any decent, remove the Halo elements from the story and craft it around your own fictional universe.
Trust me, once you start building and evolving the world in which your story exists it soon becomes so big that you start focusing on telling original stories in other areas.
I tried to draft a plot for a trilogy of books which soon turned in to a five book saga, with a prequal trilogy and a sequal saga of an unknown amount of books. The ideas have grown that big that I’m scared to even start writing.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest. If you’ve invested so much effort into your book and believe this strongly in it, then it’s YOU that have made the book something worth reading, not simply the fact that it is Halo.

thanks for the kind words…While i do believe in it as my writing it would be hard for it to work as well without it being called a knock off, luckily i do have other books i’m writing should this not go through thanks again

i definitely have given thought to re-tooling the book but it just wouldn’t be the same (it’s that intertwined) also sorry if it seemed i responded to everyone but you lately, however my posting limit as of now is only 2 per day for some reason. Luckily though i have other books im working on and thinking on making them a series should this work fall through the cracks thankyou soo much for staying engaged
I just had an idea of writing a Halo Book about what happens after Halo 6. It’s called “Shadow Team.” Still need to read about what happens after Halo 6, but it’s about a Spartan team that has been put to the task of Halo Destruction after Cortana’s little find out in the middle of the universe in H5 (Hum was just perfect, kudos on that, just wish the game was advertised in a way MC wasn’t demonized). Am I able to publish and sell it?(kinda like old Star Wars Canon before it was made legacy).

Some of the more recent short stories seem like fan fiction.
