I wish you will not limit the amount of blocks, buildings, vehicles, etc. on every multiplayer map so I can completely change how the map plays, looks, etc. The reason for this is I’d be able to make something very unique and it wouldn’t have the same texture.

There has to be a limit of objects to put down on the map. You can just put down an unlimited amount of stuff, the game will crash

I understand that but how does Forgeworld do so well?

Indeed. Textures and phased objects get kinda glitchy even with the budget we had in Reach.

This.
As for me, weather (remind me, did they confirm this was out? I can’t remember) and a Forerunner Dazzler (basically, Active Camo for an entire area).
Maybe triggers as well. The ability to place buttons or panels that you can link to doors, one-way shields, mines, etc. that will open/close/activate them.

The cost per object system was terrible in Halo Reach. They said they grouped objects in certian costs and limted the amount that could be placed on the map due directly to there cost on the engine. This was not true with almost all objects. For instance a brace large (which costs 50) performs much better than a bridge XL(which costs 10). So why are we payiing more for something that is easier for the game to render… it just does not follow.
Im all for a total object limit, but I do not think certain catergorys should be limted. Rather, it should be a group total limit for all base objects. Vehicles, and Special Gadgets could have there own limits. IF i want to I should be able to use 200 Coliseum Walls instead of 50 colli walls, 100 5x5, and 50 Brace Larges. In fact, its cheaper for the game to simply render the 200 colli walls than it would be the varied objects. Yet, I am unable to span 200 colli walls without a mod and am able to spawn the varied objects of the same count and have much much much worse performance issues.
