My beloved Halo Reach E.O.D :A Sad Love Story

Halo Reach to Halo 5
E.O.D
A love story
So I had just got out of college, and was released into the new world of Halo Reach. And as most people would, I started looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with. So I was browsing through the armory, I saw her. From the first time our eyes met, we both knew it was love. Her sleek design, the narrow visor, and every beautiful detail on her face. We fell for each other, and we had happy times, mowing down the covenant, and sad times, losing friends. (a.k.a Jorge, Kat, Carter, Emile,) And sometimes, when even died for each other, knowing we could just respawn and be together again. So when Halo 4 was released I was exited for our new adventures together, and I worked for hours and days, to reach the unlocking level for my soul mate. But this time, as I gazed upon her face, it had changed. I no longer saw the helmet I loved, just a scraped-together, hideous monster. I couldn’t believe it, and moments after , our relationship ended, and my life descended into a dark, endless future. I miss her so much. and it would mean so much if 343 would please bring us back together in halo 5: Guardians.
Lik dis if u cry evry time. :(:::::::

I would just like to specify dat i would love it if 343 would bring back the HALO REACH STYLE EOD HELMET. Because the other version looks like a piece of -Yoink-.

Sorry to tell you bro but the EOD was kind of a butter face. No hard feelings?

I feel this way about Halo 3’s Security Armor. It was awesome in Halo 3, and then got a bad haircut in Halo Reach. And then it didn’t show up for Halo 4.

We did get an offbrand version in the form of the Operator helmet, but it’s not the same.

Could you not just play reach?

It’s the only “Medic” variant as well.

Hazop in Reach was a joke, it looked like something Bender would wear.

EOD has always looked different. From Halo 3, to Reach, to Halo 4. Clearly, Reach’s version is your favorite, but assuming it keeps the trend going, it’ll look different again.

EOD just can’t make up its mind of what it wants to look like.

> Could you not just play reach?

This. EOD has always looked ugly, why anyone would willingly choose to wear such a hideous concoction of baboon and horse is beyond me.

Most like a Stormtrooper.

Should be enough reason itself.

Honestly I think that Halo 4s EOD is the best iteration yet.

But I don’t ever wear the helmet so 343 can do with it what they will.

CQB sure would be nice though. You’re lucky to be able to complain about the modern iteration of your helmet, I can’t do that.

Can’t we just have an actual Stormtrooper helmet?

At least I could tell everyone what my aim was like without even needing a mic.

EOD is sadly one of the most ugly helmets in any Halo game.

I just want an actual Stormtrooper helmet…

I hear you man, there’s nothing worse than watching a new interpretation of a old favorite come along and ruin everything. So many Reach helmets were superior to their H4 counterparts. Especially Commando and Recon (though H3 had the best Recon).

I’m sorry to say this but EOD was the ugliest helmet I have ever seen and I always laughed when I saw someone wearing it

It’s purely cosmetic. As long as the game plays the exact same, why is it that big of a deal? Just pick a new helmet and go play the game. It’s still going to be just as fun, and unless you die a whole lot, you probably won’t see it very often.

I just realized the Halo 4 E.O.D helmet resembles the Halo 3 E.O.D. more than the Reach E.O.D.

Still ugly though.

Recon is the best.

Well, despite it’s horribly ugly looks, anything is a better love story than Twilight.

EOD (in my opinion) may very well be the most ugly looking helmet I’ve ever seen. 3, Reach, 4; all the games maintained the sheer ugliness of the helmet.

Never will this be my love story. Instead, I revere my affection towards Security… :’(

I miss Security.

Which is exactly how I feel about the Security helmet. If I wanted to look like an astronaut (or Blasternaut in this case), I’d play Math Blaster : The Search for Spot. No thank you.
