My beloved Carbine!

Alrighty guys, so what do you think about the Carbine post E3/PAX build?

Now, it’s apparently 8 shots to kill which seems a bit overkill, yet it has a 1.6 killtime, on the other hand what if this killtime is wrong and it’s 1.8, like the BR?
I hope not. 8 shots, to me is kinda overkill. It’s hard enough to get 5 shots off, let alone 6, but 8? You can tell me all about aim assist all you want but 8 seems a little too much

7 on the other hand may be the sweet spot…

Anyways, this question is for those who’ve payed attention to the videos with it (post E3), and have played it…

How did you like it?

Will it be a reliable gun?

I’m just happy it’s back! My favourite covenant weapon, my beloved carbine.

I’m one of the guys that crunched the kill times. It’s 1.63 seconds.

Also there’s a huge con to using the Carbine. It takes 5 body shots to clean up a no-shields opponent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVVjuTaODvc&t=4m8s

That sucks, even if it is one of the fastest firing guns 5 trigger pulls after the shields are down is overkill imo.

Isn’t there a way for 343 to individually modify each weapons damage with CortanaWeb or something like that?

I see the suppressor getting a slight buff, and the Carbine.

Thanks for crunching the numbers. It seems like the carbine would be better suited for closer ranges. At least to use it effectively. The DMR really seems like the most well rounded weapon.

Which is sad that the DMR is taking the BR’s place, but hopefully it gets tuned later on
