Here is my answer :

If I proposed some changes for an infinite halo, it is not for nothing, here are explanations:
In addition, I do not agree with you on the magnum of the halo, it is a weapon which is certainly very powerful but which is not painful to use in campaign and in multiplayer, on the contrary, because it allows eliminate enemies faster.
I asked for the return of the classic shotgun because I don’t like its design in the infinite halo and then it’s a replacement.
I don’t think the shotgun in halo 2 is underpowered, I think it has the same power as the halo shotgun ce. You should know that it is a melee weapon and that the power is the same on all halo games.
The grunts evolved after Halo 2 and then 343 decided to reuse the halo reach design on the anniversary versions of halo ce and halo 2, so there was some continuity in the design.
In my opinion, infinite halo grunts are completely opposite to bungie style as we have an artistic style mix between halo 4 and halo ce. If you take a close look at their anatomy, it certainly doesn’t match the first bungie trilogy, it’s more like another species. It doesn’t make sense to have that design there.
Seriously, that’s not a real growl.
Compare the growls of “halo reach” and those of infinite halo, you will see that they are not the same thing at all.

I would have preferred the Halo Reach grunts, personally.
Here are some real bungie grunts below:

Classic weapons like Plasma Rifle, Grenade Launcher … ect should return as they were present in the original trilogy. To delete them would be a shame.

The Reach grunts were cool and definitely a great depiction of original grunts, also far better than the H4-H5 grunts which were ugly in my opinion.

The grunts of halo reach are the best and come closest to the of halo combat evolved in artistic direction.

Grunts in Halo 4 and Halo 5 aren’t even grunts. It looks more like another species.

Firstly I thank you for your response. Now that I understand your perspectives on these issues I can apply it to my own judgement.
The Reach grunts certainly had this more alien and dark design. It definitely is something to look at but i honestly wouldn’t say both are different species, they have similarities that make them identifyable as grunts. (Unlike the 4/5 design as elites. Or the H5 grunts, those things are nightmare children if you remove their face masks.) They are not bad but a mix between the 2 (both designs in game with them both appearing for you to fight) would be nice.
And those classic weapons not the returning would be a shame indeed.

The CE magnum is painful because it hurts the sandbox. A lot of the weapons in CE are great and unique. The plasma rifle is really good. But no one really uses other weapons in CE multiplayer unless its a sniper or rocket launcher. It works well in custom since they are there for fun, for messing around almost.
The shotgun, yeah I agree on the design. Although the damage does change between games. Although it being underpowered in 2 may be because of when your able to use it, which is either against the flood or brutes. And the brutes a just bullet sponges in 2, meleeing them doesn’t look like it did anything, it felt like i was flicking them or something. It was addressed in 3. The bulldog could work well with the classic shotgun; the Bulldog is more common but less powerful with the classic less so but more powerful. Just give the bulldog lights and it will fit right in.

Halo 4 and Halo 5 grunts are subspecies and it seems to me that this was confirmed by 343 to justify the change.
so this is not the real species that we have known in halo 1,2 and 3.
Either way, the artistic choices in Halo 4 and Halo 5 don’t make sense with the original trilogy.
For example, Halo 4 should have had an art direction of Halo 3 for logical reasons.
The Grunts in Halo Infinite are a mix between Halo 4 and Halo CE so we cannot say that they are really classic Grunts.
For my part, I appreciate the magnum of halo CE because it is the most powerful weapon in the game and it is quite useful on hunters.

I think you didn’t have to do a topic to answer him.
Im agree with you, the only powerful shotgune was in Halo CE but i dont see any of with have the old design of grunts and the new design, there’s already an answer with Lore for that.

I decided to respond to this player because he wanted an explanation on a locked topic.
Unfortunately, the Shotgun of halo ce is not present in Infinite Halo and has been replaced by an other shotgun.
I would have preferred the grunts of halo reach, personally.

I see, yeah i rather those grunt too but i find no problem with putting the news too, it’s like a crossover of cannon fodder and would be interesting to see how they interact.

If you want to discuss something with someone specifically feel free to use dms. If something was locked, it isn’t a lisence to continue that conversation in another thread.
