Just logged in this morning to play and I receive this message: This account has been temporarily banned from earning XP. http://www.halo4.com/ban
I only use this account to play Halo4 as I am a big Halo fan… I let my cousins play on my account last night as we were entertaining guests at a family event in our house. I know that all they did was play halo4 and thats it…
So can anyone tell me how is it that my account could be banned???
Mind you, my cousins are very young and know nothing of network manipulation and other crap that you could be kicked out for…
I need this issue to be fixed as soon as possible…
Does anyone know how long this “temporarily ban” lasts???
Any chance of being completely honest? The xp banhammer does not fall on innocent players. Also, for future reference, if you’re going to make an excuse, don’t use the ‘my brother/sister/cousin,deaduncle did it’ excuse. It’s an instant red flag.
Halo 4 doesn’t know that it’s your cousin, it doesn’t know who use the account, it’ll just ban the account when it does something bad. The account owner is responsible for everything that happens on the account as well.
Could be AFKing, or something like that.
I think there’s a thread for it to clear things out, but I doubt you’ll get your ban lifted.

Ignorance is bliss. I’ve gotten mic banned and I don’t even own a mic for my Xbox.
But lookin at your stats it does look like you were boosting but it also shows that with your game history clearly someone else was playing on your account

Dude.
Read my post one more time. Let it soak in.
“The xp banhammer does not fall on innocent players.”
“xp banhammer”
Okay? I am aware of the mic ban issue. That’s caused by stupid people muting silent players.
Never let your family play on your account. Always say it’s broken. Always lock your door and hide your Xbox under the sheets and never tell any brother, cousin, small dog, sister, aunt, uncle, best friend, best friend’s siblings, or small rodents in your family or outside of it that you have one.
Or stop playing Halo, the only game I’ve ever played where the dev and community will penalizes you for owning it.

You’re wrong if you believe any program is perfect. Every anti cheat system ever created has had false positives. Whether it be a mic ban or a xp ban or a permaban, someone is going to get screwed.
