So, I have some issues that I would like to know if someone else has experience it too.
My xbox 360(The Halo 3 edition, yeah, is that old…) seems to have problems with the game. For example: I have severe frame issues with big maps like Vortex, and my Spartan Hub (the one you access pressing start) moves with “lag”.
Some of the things I notices is that when my power supply make a bit of noise (it has been making some noise time from time for the last 2 years) there is lag, and when isn’t making any sound there is a chance my game will run smooth. (Even the Spartan Hub, where my lag is much more frequent, very noticeable since I have a delay of half a seconds going from option to option(or scrolling).
The first thing I suppoused is that perhaps my RAM or cache(or whatever it is) was just completely consumed, so I went to Settings of my xbox and used to option “Clear Cache” since last Friday I formatted my HDD and I don’t think it would need another formatting so soon. (I usually use the format option every year, or before a Halo-game release.)
Anyone know what I could do?
(Also, I changed my gamertag this Tuesday, and I noticed that my gamertag is still the old one when I’m in a party… could that be the reason that my spartan have yet to update in Waypoint? I did what bs angel said in the last bulletin to ‘solve’ the issue… but it didn’t work…
Do you think if I deleted my profile, and download it again, it would fix it?)
There should be a fan in your power supply to keep it cool. If it is dirty it could be overheating and providing enough power to your xbox. I reccomend get a can of compressed air and blow out your xbox (thought the air vents) and your power supply. you would be supprised how much a little dust can cause a system to heat up and not run correctly. I useually blow out my systems every 3 months along with my computers.
Have the same xbox Halo 3 console playing fine in it.
Only problem i have is the adapter is starting to play up sounds like jet engine starting up.

The thing is, I give a full service to my xbox before a release of a Halo, for Halo 4 I did:
-Format of my HDD
-Cleaning of my xbox 360 and power supply.
-Use a air can to clean the dust inside the power supply(and some dust did came out)
-Cleaning of all the dust that may be around the console and my TV.
To prevent problems like this, (Is usually part of the ritual of things I do while I install a new game in my 360)
So, I’m really surprised with those issues, in Reach there where issues but I did know that it was the game not the console that was causing the problem. Like the framerate drops in Glacier, or with heavily action moments. But I know that is my console the one with the problem since Halo 4 is usually 99% smooth…
Also, from what side do you use the air can for the console? I don’t know exactly where to use it… (what side)
