My 3 major halo 4 complains

I have being playing halo 4 for two months now, ever since I started using the Noob weapon DMR my kills and k/d has gone up, I still hate the DMR to death, I still do use my fav weapons storm rifle/suppressor every full moon but in a match where ten players use a stupid DMR how people do not get bored in using the same weapon??

I like the game, I think it has lots of potential, if issues were to be fix, my mayor complains are this

1.- DMR users and weapon, I know as a player, I consider myself a decent player, the times I tried using the sniper rifle I wasn’t really good with it. I will say it takes lots of practice to be able to become a good sniper, I meet really good players, who I’m sure they spent lots of time practicing to be in that level, a few days ago I mention that I was going to use the DMR to prove that weapon takes no skill in using (of course every weapon does needs it practice to be able to master it) but with the DMR its easy to make kills with that weapon my 4th tried I got 40 kills and 5th tried 37 kills with 17 assist lol.

The Sniper vs DMR are in a different levels, the sniper takes lots of practice to use while the DMR doesn’t take much, when I played in CTF I see people using the DMR for close/mid/long range, during a match I was in 10 people including myself using DMR’s, the weapon needs fixing.

2.- Boltshot what can I say about this weapon, it is annoying as its one hit kill but you can defend yourself or avoid it by keeping your distance.

3.- Quit Ban, hmm this crap annoy me really bad yesterday, How is it fair just joining into a match where you team is losing by 3 or 4 flags? then you have to quit the match because being in a game its pointless and then you tried joining another game and it sends you to the same game? or you go into a game where pretty much everyone in your team sucks bad and you lose 5-0 so you decide to leave the game because you don’t wish to keep playing with sucky players in your team, or finding a laggy player, his connection is sooooo crappy you cant kill the guy, trying to find servers with no lag, after trying to find a decent match the stupid game tells you ( you are band for an hour)

I like the game and this are mayor complain but I can deal with the Boltshot and quit ban, I just wish for 343 to balance the stupid DMR, If by January 21th 343 hasn’t fix the DMR I will move to another game for good

The only thing that I dislike is the fact that you can only have 5 loadouts.

you know if you actually finish the match, even ones that you get thrown into that are soon to be over, you don’t ever get a quit ban.

Really, the amount of matches if actually been tossed into with an out of reach score is very small.

Asking why people don’t get bored of using the DMR is like asking why Football players don’t get bored of using a football. It’s part of the game and that’s how it’s played. If you’re gonna run out in the open with a short range weapon like the Storm Rifle or Suppressor, you’re gonna be punished.

I can honestly say that Halo 4 probably has the best balance of long/short range weapons out of any Halo, excluding the Boltshot. Automatic weapons take less skill than the others, thus, they should be less powerful. How you can even imply the DMR takes no skill is beyond me.

Simple solution to the quit ban. Don’t quit. I’ve never been quit banned and I’ve played about as many games as you, and probably with more incompetent teammates. If you join a game in progress where you’re losing, just bite the bullet, finish the game and get on with your life. The quit ban prevents bad kids from ruining games for the rest of us. Deal with it.

the DMR takes no skill as the 4th and 5th times using it, I had over 37 kills and 40 kills , accuracy in this weapon its almost perfect, compare to the carbine,BR,light rifle, after firing each weapon continuously the weapon would missed their spot, compare to the DRM it will hit the same spot while firing continuously and no to say the fire rate makes it deadlier, I mean come on the Dominating weapon, it’s the DMR any aimless noob can use the DMR, because ain’t buying it my last poll 70% of the votes agree the DMR needs balance

Those are mostly what you hear about, DMR and boltshot could use some nerfing but not much or it would be underpowered and unused so here are my suggestions.

DMR(Designated Marksman Rifle)-It is a high caliber rifle so reducing damage output is a no-no.Instead half its clipsize to 7,reduce fire rate by up to 30% but no lower than 20%, and take the bullet magnetism away turning it into an excellent long range weapon only challenged effectively by another DMR or sniper rifle that requires excellent eye to hand coordination.

Boltshot(Promethean sidearm)-It is Promethean which is far more advanced than covenant or human weapons technology … so yes it should be OP.Now for the suggestion, all i can suggestion with confidence is lower fire by about 15% increase damage to a hair above the M5D pistol and increase its accuracy to twice that of what it is now.Then to what its main issue is, the secondary fire mode.drop its 1 hit kill ability and its effective range to about 5 feet and max effective distance to about 15 feet which would only strip roughly 25% of shield, then at 5 feet and under take away 75%.That would allow for a shot then melee usage that would allow for a easy kill if your close enough which is hard to do without getting shot to hell beforehand.You cannot make the secondary usage pointless or it look like a lame and useless weapon.

Quit ban-Needs to stay, nuff said.Though the matchmaking needs a major upgrade, as a lvl 100+ i want to be teamed up and play against other lvl 100+ players not a lvl 7.Something similair to CoD:BO prestige games which req you to be a certain prestige in order to play in it.Sorry i used CoD as a reference but it was something i could use as a example outside of the halo franchise, but i believe it gives a very good idea of what i mean.

What i would like personally is actually kind of useless but ill add it for a why not.I would like to address the team killing issue, which i am sure your aware is sometimes out of hand.So my suggestion is this:Deflect all damage that you do to an ally and hurt you instead(when they hit you with a vehicle at full speed they will kill themselves), that would make your teammates far more careful on how they drive and in turn make them better teammates(hopefully, but some people just dont care).When a teammates shoots your vehicle with a gun or vehicle they would receive equal damage they would have inflicted causing them play the game and not try to annoy their own teammate.Their is no need for a report button for team killing, if the above suggestion is not good enough just turn all friendly fire off and problem solved.By adding friendly fire ability with vehicles they are practically asking people to abuse it and kill their own teammates and get reported.

While i am at it ill mention the mic bans, just needs to be taken away.Theirs no way to prove whether someone did or did not use their mic for offensive purposes or even had their mic plugged in.I would also like the ability to attach offensive voice and text mail to a report since that can be proven, evidence it would be impossible to report falsely for something in that nature since it would have to be received in the first place.Mic bans are simple ridiculous because if your offended by how someone is talking you can literally press back button use d-pad and press X to mute them.To be offended by someone in in-game chat is your choice and you have the ability to stop them within 5 seconds.If the person can find their way through the report feature they can figure out how to mute someone.

Ill stop here or the suggestions would never end since their are alot of things to discuss and come up the most logical solutions to things that are questionable.things like AA’s,sprint and whatnot are in to many forums so i wont touch them in small detail like i did with the above mentioned.

People uses the DMR because is the “best” (overpowered) weapon of all. It’s accurate, very fast RoF. Obviously, if you ran in the middle of a map with your storm rifle you’ll get owned by a DMR user, even a BR can destroy you, you need to use those weapons for CQ combat only not for BTB maps

Given it has the highest magnetism per round in the game, a fairly large reticle for a weapon of its classification, a high ROF on a high-damage round with the best assisted aim, and the fact that it takes over the role of other weapons not because of careful aim or cleverness, but because it has absolutely zero negative points.

It’s the baby mode of the game. It’s like playing a Wizard in 3.5 D&D or playing a mono blue Counter/Control deck in MtG. Sure it’s effective, but nobody is impressed with you using something that does half the work for you and doesn’t take that much actual effort, and nobody wants to play with you because of it.

If the fire rate was decreased so that it fired at a slightly lower rate than the BR (firing four shots in just under the amount of time the BR take to fire five would be best), it would be balanced out in that respect. If the aim assist and magnetism effects were pulled from Halo altogether, it would make the weapon actually deserve the title of a “pro” gun that needed skill to use.

lol the dmr would have the highest votes on this forum, it wouldnt surprise me if most people here would want the AR to be an even more powerful weapon, the dmr is only OP at long range battles, up close you cant afford to miss and can easily lose to someone with a BR or even an AR, its only OP when your not missing and hitting nothing but headshots, which most people probably aren’t doing anyways, the boltshot however is an extremely inconsistent gun that requires 343’s attention, they also need to make the kill cams 100% accurate or take them out completely, people are getting the wrong idea about the dmr by watching the kill cams, dont, they are completely inaccurate

About the quit ban from your point of view.So,i payied 50 € for a GAME where i am supposed to RELAX,but if i get into a game where the opposing team has all of the POWER weapons or VEHICLES,i should STAY and get my -Yoink- kicked,thus not having FUN?

How can you possibly say this?It’s a game,you leave whenever you want,you do whatever you want,so if i want to leave because the game is unfair/laggy,i’ll just leave.
