Now I don’t think I’m alone here. I hope I’m not. But just to get my 2 cents to 343 here is the few things that would help Reach in all my years of Halo.
- AAs. Yeah yeah. Armor lock sucks, camo sucks, ( when not just a pick up item )jet packs sucks for some players we feel it slows down the gameplay so maybe a slayer pro playlist by it’s self could be understandable?
- Turn the bloom on/off
I think bloom should be gone and go back to timing shots rather than waiting for bloom to shrink, but I know there are people who like it. So I think just like personal button layout and look sensitivity, we should choose to use bloom or not. That or really slow the bloom down a good bit.
- Smaller splash damage with frags.
I think they are over powered so that’s just my vote towards that.
- Ranking system.
I hate running into pro and semi pro players. Enought said.

AA’s are reach what make reach good. If you dont like armor lock, jetpack or camo then play mlg like I do.
Bloom is good.
I do agree that grenades are too powerful, that does need to be changed. I think if theyr decide to keep them that powerful they shouldnt be able to be picked up everywhere on the map. It encourages spamming.
AAs: Certain AAs are simply unbearable. Armor Lock, Camo, and Evade, and Drop shield all take away form the competitive aspect of gameply in a 4v4 settting. The first feeling I get when witnessing the use of these AAs is frustration, simply because they are used defensively as a mechanism to slow down the already slow gameplay.
Bloom: Another unwanted gameplay mechanic. It eiher favors you, or it doesn’t, and leaves a very connection dependent taste in your mouth. I time my shots simply so I can see the register, although it’s usua;;y a coin toss as to whether or not you win against somebody smashing their trigger button. I’m all for the removal of this gameplay element.
Grenade Radius and Damage. Both are too large. The radius shoul be toned down similar to that of Halo 3, and theh damage from a direct hit should take down an entire shield from a fully shielded opponent, but no health if they are flly shielded prior to the explosion.
BleedThrough: Bring this back for all weapons/melees.

I disagree. I hate AAs. They don’t make the game interesting, they just make it random and annoying. AL can single handedly ruin close combat, Jetpack has done nothing but ruined map control, Camo just promotes camping and nothing else, Evade allows easy escape and that is it. Drop Shield just annoys people in objective games (take a look at Spire, 3rd stage) and the only one that doesn’t annoy me is hologram and that is because it doesn’t effect gameplay, it just shows which people lack brain power.
And I think Bloom is a good concept, although Bungie did a bad job of implenting it.
Fix Armor Lock (not sure how but someone must have thought of a great idea for it) not Active Camo (Like I said on BNet to this post, I will break my game if Active Camo gets removed). I think bloom is good but it needs an increase on the DMR so people will stop spamming. I think the ranking system you posted is a good idea.
