so in the last 3 days I’ve compiled some noticeable data on winning and losing and how much you can earn in a single game of MWFF compared to anything else. Many people may already know this, but just in case thiabis for people who are curious about how much RP you can make and how fast.
For this study i did not own nor use any boosts. This is just an observation, so the data was clearer.
Let’s cut to the chase: if you lose a game of MWFF in the first two rounds you will make as much RP as you would have winning any other warzone game regardless of difficulty. Here is my notes:
if you win win a game of ranked slayer you get roughly 700-900 RP/
if your lose you get 600 RP
if you win win a game of Warzone you get around 2000 RP
if you lose you get 1100-1400 depending on time.
if you’ve win a game of heroic Warzone firefight you get just over 2200 RP
if you lose you generally get around 1200-1400 depending on the wave.
Legendary Warzone yielded (for me) only a few hundred more then heroic.
Wining at around 2300ish RP
losing at around 1200-1500 RP (roughly and depending on the wave)
MWFF yielded me this:
wining is just under 5500 RP
losing in wave 4 is 4500 RP
losing in wave 3 is 3200 RP
losing in wave 1-2 is 1500 RP
if you win/lose a Warzone in under ten minutes you get around 1500 for winning and just over 1000 for losing.
What does this mean?
If you calculate the time it takes to win full RP in a standard length Warzone match
-(17-22 minutes or 20 minutes average)
2000ish RP
and the fact that every round is 5 minutes with a 30 second break, I can combine what I’ve learned it’s safe to say that if you lose within the first 13 minutes or 2 rounds of MWFF you will make as much or MORE than you would have winning or losing in any other game at half to 1/4 the amount of time.
TOO LONG/ DIDNT READ:
you can lose 4 games of MWFF each at 5-10 minutes long and earn around 5k RP in about the same time it took you to win a game of regular firefight that lasts 20 minutes. Roughly.
This is gonna be like the firefighter beta way back then for escape from arc. People would purposely lose (probably lost anyway) round 3 defend the garage and get 2100 RP and I think 6.5k XP for 9 minutes of play.
This data could be used in a bad way where people will abuse loses, but thank you for the research.

The solution is simple: increase the reward for a full match and we won’t have this problem.

Honestly I don’t think so. I’m the only soul in this game who doesn’t use boosts. Because if this I can assume no one else realizes the truth behind how much unaltered RP data they come across.
the real reason people don’t seem to “try” is because instead of making the AI smart they just gave them upgraded armor, health, weapons, aim assists and damage. No one wants to play knowing 3/4 the time they can’t survive a wave without being crushed.

Amen to that, I hate being 3 shot killed by Grunts that have shields or by Jackals, who obviously have shields. MWFF is hard, really hard, and the worst of all is the damn Knights and Soldiers with Light Rifles, they destroy everything. I’m walking? No worries, Light Rifle. I in a Ghost? No worries, Light Rifle. I’m in a Scorpion? No worries, Light Rifle…
Aaaand the last one, which is reaaaally annoying. How the heck can a Banshee Boss shoot at me while I’m inside a Mantis? How? Explain please. I know, I don’t have shields, my Mantis don’t have shields either (we are fighting remember) but the damn shot should hit my Mantis armor and damage it, not go right through it, hit my character, and leave my Mantis there, deactivated, out in the open.

That’s why there’s a heroic and legendary mode. I doubt the people i get stuck with can even complete heroic tbh

I agree with everything you just said, I lost an ONI mantis to that banshee -Yoink-. I can only assume AI have the ability to be scoped at all times with the light rifle, causing all the high damage.

Still, it’s unfair. I know it is supposed to be harder, but make it harder by changing behaviour, not by simply increasing health and damage and not letting the player recover health/shields easily. Like how the -yoink- it takes 3+ SCORPION SHOTS to kill a damn Elite. I understand 2, one for shields and one for the kill, but 3. How do they expect me to focus on the boss when the adds are almost boss level in terms of damage, not even Wheelman helps that much.
Btw, I’ve won a couple of games of MWFF with randoms, since I mostly play solo, but I haven’t achieved my goal yet, winning at least one each weekend. I’ve been able to win in 2 maps only.

That would be great…but I’m level 118 and I’ve never come across any legendary boosts of any kind.
Personal note: To my knowledge they are only abundant Towards the end of gold packs. At that point of being so close to already completing unlocking everything, what’s the point if you get them so late in your collection?! This goes hand in hand with the whole “no one will play this game after they unlock everything” (yeah I said it)

I mean, that’s still no excuse for not making MWFF harder via behavior rather then harder (more like impossible) via stats
