Please take a look and consider my 3 small suggestions as additions to Reach that will not directly affect game play, so should be easy to introduce without any uproar!
Press ‘Back’ next time after a game and look at that void of space below the teams and to the right of the top medals… 343, please think about re-introducing the MVP player’s picture as Bungie did in Halo 3, that was a really good addition.
On a similar train of thought, my second suggestion is to re-think the ‘top medals’ as to be frank, first strike is NOT that great an achievement.
And lastly, a new medal that would, in my mind, make being the MVP something that players would seek across all game types. This would be of course via an introduction of an MVP medal, surely not a hard feature to add? and certainly a more prestigious medal than the less-than-coveted First Strike.
Those are my 3 suggestions, mainly revolving around a more established MVP system in the game. I think that all are feasible and require little effort to introduce, and when would be a better time to let this all loose than in the new update coming this month?!

All of those are kind of like parts of a one bigger suggestion, but I agree, at least First Strike needs to go from the top medals, it simply doesn’t belong there.
It’s stupid how First Strike Medal is usually based on luck and it takes priority over medals such as Extermination in the Top Medals which just doesn’t make sense.
Definetly bring back MVP and redo top medals for sure. MVP medal is a good idea but doesn’t necesarilly need to be a medal because it would happen every game as well just like FirstStrike. Maybe just make it a passive medal like the B.net medals that exist only online to show you’ve done it.

The difference bieng that MvP actually requires skill…I don’t see why it couldn’t be a medal, just to keep count of how may times you’ve done it…
There should be a ‘Game MVP’s’ list based on (kills + assists + medals + bomb/flag caps + stops) - (deaths + 3*betrayls) and have a list of the top MVP’s of the game.
At the end of the game this is what people want to know, they want to know who performs the best and that forumula would give a pretty clear picture of this.
Yeah liking the sound of a formula that takes into account, everything like assists, deaths, caps etc. Similar to the Rating system? Though that doesn’t always reflect how well players on a team have played. Then again, I wouldn’t mind the MVP to be based on their Rating.

Ooops, I totally read past the “not”. I think you get the idea though. I do not care for the First Strike Medal. I would prefer the return of the MVP medal but if nothing else can be done at least just remove the First Strike Medal from the top 3 medals list in the post game.

Yeah I don’t really mind whether it’s visible or not (as in Bungie.net only) but I quite like the idea of it being similar to ‘Perfection’. If you get that, it will say it in the cool voice at the end of the game, so the voice saying ‘MVP’ to the MVP at the end of the game could be a rather nice touch - also rendering it as a visible medal.
