Mutliplayer Armor in New Game+

Hi, this is my first forum post, and to my knowledge at this time, this idea I had a little while back isn’t a forum yet (Unless I missed it o_o).
Anyways, to my topic; New Game+ for Halo Infinite. One of my favorite Halos is Reach because of it’s armor customization for the campaign (you see where this is going).
I really like the idea of after finishing the Infinite campaign as the Master Chief in his trusty sage green shell we call Mjolnir, that you would be offered to start the game again, this time with the Master Chief dressed as your multiplayer appearance. I realize that this could be difficult to implement, but I wondered if others has the same idea or similar to mine. Please feel free to share your opinion! Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the forum! There has been some discussion regarding campaign expansion as well as co-op campaign allowing for the implementation of a players MP Spartan.

great idea and welcome to the team Spartan!

It has been brought up before, but that doesn’t make your post less meaningful! I agree, I’d like to see something like this too. We spend so much time with our MP Spartans, so I think it makes sense to have them available for some fun in campaign as well. It could be something enabled by a skull you need to find. The skins in NG+ was one of the many features I enjoyed in the Arkham games.

Wow I actually love this idea.
And now you mention the idea of New Game +, I would love to see some kind of altered challenge or twist on the game that gets unlocked too to give you incentive to replay. Similar to dark souls games and others like shovel knight.

Yes. I agree 100%. This would be a very cool way to play.

I agree. It’s come up before but I’ve always wanted the option of our own armour customisation in campaign. We could do that in Reach, right down to our emblems being on the armour. I think this should be available from the start, and yes, why not have new game plus options.

That would be cool, but I’d prefer to see Chief keep his special armor. I’d personally lean more towards a more fleshed out multiplayer, standalone story campaign that follows our multiplayer character, but still part of Halo Infinite. Like Spartan Ops on steroids. Like our very own spinoff series developed in parallel to the main Campaign.

New game +is a pretty cool way to add it. Or maybe a skull you have to find. Or maybe beat the game on legendary. All great ideas.

Personally I think they’re going to keep the armour with req packs, I don’t hate it honestly since I’ve done the levels to get armour on other games

I really really don’t want to see monetised req packs again. Loot boxes based on RNGs that you can pay real money for absolutely suck and I hate that kind of business model

They’re not. 343i already stated no loot crates and no rng. So no reqs.

Why is armor a thing in an first person shooter?
i see the point in MP when everyone can see it in the lobby, but in campaign?
i dont get it

Cutscenes

Well, welcome to the comunnity! I would personnaly prefer that chief would keep his iconic armour, but maybe the secound player in co-op could wear his mp armour in campaign.

it isnt difficult at all to implement. its just a story thing that would be disrupted and i doubt 343 will let us alter chief like that. Giving us the option to play with our multiplayer spartan though? that would be an amazing idea. Kind of like how in older games you could play through a single player story multiple times with different characters, even though the story itself was designed only for the main character. They would get around this by basically skipping all the cutscenes and dialogue when they would normally happen, and you’d just progress the game as normal even though you were playing as characters not meant for the story.

I think this would be awesome to let us replay the story with our unique mp spartan =)

Nah, Halo doesn’t need a NG+.

Well first of all, welcome to halo way point’s forums!

I think that can be cool! 100% think that should be implemented into the game! Especially since for campaign multiplayer, we wont be seeing 2 Master Chiefs

I feel like there is no reason for those who prefer to keep classic armor for the campaign to prevent those who want something else from getting it. Like in Reach, the default appearance of Chief is canon, but you can play through the campaign with any armor you want. If Chief can change his armor so significantly from game to game, its not unreasonable to think he might wear custom armor sometimes.

maybe you unlock new things after the game, like only accessible if you finish it

Yes, you got the point, but you know that the main character in halo reach was not chief right? It was noble sixes armor you had the ability to change.
