Mute Button Not working?

Sometimes when I hit mute all nothing happens and i can still hear the guy that loves eating his microphone, and yelling at his team for him being bad at the game. Does anyone else have this issue?

Sounds like a controller issue. I’d try changing controllers.

Perhaps the batteries?

Well when I hit the mute button it shows the muted icon over everyone’s names but I can still hear some.

That’s weird. Perhaps it’s a bug.

Maybe try resetting your Xbox.

Or resetting all your audio functions on Halo 5 to default.

Try the same thing with your controller.

Yeah, I get it every few games. If it does happen, I switch over to party chat so there’s nothing to bother me.

Will that mute the in-game volume as well?

Switching to party chat only mutes other players in the match, making it so you are only supposed to hear those in your party. Other in-game audio functions as normal.

ok thanks

Usually I am only able to mute people up to 3 games at most before having to restart the game. I say just use party chat if it stops working.

I dont think it is a controller issue
It has happened to me before will multiple controllers and battery levels
I think that it is just weird.

All I do is just turn volume off for a bit, or message them asking politely to stop talking (only if they are having outside conversations or spewing gibberish)

The problem with that is I can’t tell whose talking, if I could I could simply mute them from their gamercard.

hey, i like eating on the mic, i’m offended

I’ve had that happen when someone was joining in progress in a warzone game. I would mute-all to get rid of that annoying screamer only to notice that the screamer hadn’t join yet. So I unmuted everyone and just muted that guy

I have it sometimes, mostly after 2 hours of playing. If I restart the game it disappear…

It wouldn’t show that either.

This glitch normally appears after an update and eventually gets fixed for a small period of time, only to be broken again.
