I have to handle people with their crappy Mics with them RAPPING. And playing screamo and dubstep and UGH. I press mute all. And it does nothing.

I think that person is suggesting that you just make your own party chat. Even if you are the only one in there, it will exit you from game chat, so you shouldn’t hear what people say through game chat.

I’ve personally never experienced any issues with either of the mute functions in game. As stated before, try party chat. Even if you’re the only one in the party it’ll cancel out any in game voice communications from other players.

For me the mute all button stops working after I use it 3 times. After that I have to make a party or restart Halo 5.

Same here - two or three times and it doesn’t work. Also, JIP players enter into my games unmuted.
I’m surprised they haven’t sorted it out by now.
The mute works in the lobby, but not once the game starts. Wasn’t the design though
i haven’t ever had an issue with the mute button…id say maybe a corrupt install of halo? other then that lol ID10T error maybe??? lol use that term a lot in the computer tech area lol
I personally enjoy heavy mouth breathers, eating chips and letting the world know of their poor selection of music
