Ok, so this has been bothering me for quite some time now.
A couple of weeks ago 343i has implemented a mute all function in matchmaking, by clicking in the right stick in the pre game lobby.
But same as with pressing back and x during a game this doesn’t work 95% of the time.
Now before people start complaining that you need to communicate in Halo, it’s very well playable without communication, I’ve never played any Halo with other people apart from the campaign.
Also seeing as i’m Dutch, most people I come across online are either French, German or Scandinavian (so people who speak languages I don’t understand), with the occasional 10 year old American who does nothing else but scream the entire game.
I usually end up just opening a party by myself and stay in there so I don’t hear other people, and this shouldn’t be necessary.
So basically it’s just really annoying that players can’t be muted.
PS. Please fix the frame rate issues when using a req station, it’s been a problem since launch now and it’s really irritating to have the game run on a solid 60 FPS only to drop to 3 FPS when changing loadout.

Nope, same problem or you have to go to their profile, but doing that during a game takes way to long. A good 15 to 20 seconds per person. So if there are 3 people talking it takes over a minute to mute them all individually.

Right, you shouldn’t have to do that
I wish you could get rid of some of the loadouts you never use. And speed it up.

Or at least put them in separate catagorie’s. Make a drop down menu when selecting BR Recon, Longshot or Sentinal, so you only see 3 BR’s in stead of 31!
Clicking right stick has worked for muting all for me every time I’ve had the need to use it.
I’ve had this problem. After 5 games or so, the mute button decides to stop working. The only fix I’ve found is to exit the game, quit it, and restart it.

Exactly, since there are loadouts I have never used because I have better loadouts to select in the category.

its a lot easier to just start a party chat & keep playing.
When I mute the lobby and i am done with that game i cant mute the next one…

That’s what I usually end up doing, as I said, but it shouldn’t be necessary to open a party chat just so you don’t hear annoying people.
I have had times where mute all refuses to mute people, rip.
