MUST SEE! Control Scheme

Sorry about the bad quality but they were all taken from a MLG game play by Neighbor.

So as far as Halo 4 goes, I think it looks prety good. Its not CoD so don’t say it is. Can’t say I love the return of armor abilities but they don’t look nearly as bad as Reach’s. What I don’t like are the controls. As far as the Default control scheme goes it does seem like CoD minus the melee with (B) instead of (RS). For all of you that love bumper jumper like me, grenade throws aren’t with (LT) but with (X). (LT) now activates your armor ability. This could be a useful change (think Reach Jetpack) but the idea that I have to take my hand off my (RS) just to throw a grenade seems to almost ruin Bumper Jumper. The only control scheme I personally like is Recon. Exact same as Halo Reach’s Recon (which was supposed to play like Halo 3’s default) but with the grenade switch moved to the D-Pad. Maybe 343 can add a madden like customization. Honestly with all the things the 343 is bringing we need FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE CONTROLS like The Orange Box or Madden.

Sorry fixed

I don’t understand why they changed my beloved Bumper Jumper. Why not just have the armor ability X?

Control schemes are not final yet. It might be changed.

I love that they have good old Recon. I would like sprint to be Left Bumper and AAs to be X though.

Recon for the win! I can dig it.

I hope you’re right, they’ve messed up a few of them. I wish they would have kept it like Reach’s control Scheme but that’s just me.

I just want the Reach bumper jumper with sprint on X and AA on A…

Recon looks -Yoink!-!

Green Thumb.

Hell yeah.

I’m probably gonna go out on a limb and say: “Sticking with Recon.”

Dont know but i adapted to halo 3 and reach controls…

I like the normal reach controls, it will have to change slightly to fit sprint as a default ability.

Doesn’t mean they are perfect…

Halo 3’s Bumper Jumper was fine. Reach introduced AAs, which made BJ a little less common, since using X to use AA was difficult. Now, they added Sprint and AAs, so they are running out of room.

i will haz reconz

This is true. Screw armor abilites and let us keep Bumper Jumper

Eh looks like i’ll be buying a razer onza and playing on BJ.

I really just want to play with Halo 1/2 controls, just with sprint and AA on the bumpers. What’s so hard about that?

I play using Southpaw, so I know I’ll only have one choice that I will most likely not like. I’ll deal with shooting with RT like a normal human, but I really just want to be able to play using the control scheme I want.

Same here. If you’re like me, you got used to sprinting w/ LB in Reach (b/c I never picked another AA very often). We’re going to be using sprint more often than our AAs so I think it should be switched. Equipment (AA’s predecessor) was already X in both Halo 3 and ODST anyway so it’s not like we would have to get used to it.

If Recon gets messed up somehow then this would be my next choice. I don’t play Halo 1 or 2 as often as I play Halo 3/ODST/Reach anymore so Recon makes it easier to switch between games. However, I’m used to both schemes and either will do.
