A lot of times if I’m just casually playing Halo matchmaking, I’ll throw on some tunes to help me play. Depending on my mood/current taste in music, what I listen to when I play varies greatly. Sometimes it’s hard rock, sometimes it’s electronic. Different genres go with different playstyles and I feel like it almost makes me better (when I’m not in a tough game where listening matters). I was wondering if other people listen to the same music or even listen to music while gaming at all? Let me know below if you listen to music while playing Halo (or any other game) and if so, what kind of music.
I like to listen while I play as well, I like anything that makes me feel pumped. It could be rap, rock, swing, etc… But I don’t really do that anymore due to my crummy internet.

Campaign: Nothing beats the in game soundtrack.
Multiplayer: Nothing, messes up my concentration as i get too into the music lol

Unless i’m trying to actually focus. I like to listen to it as a background noise.
I never play music when I play an FPS, especially online. Sound is to important.
I’m maybe a tryharder but I don’t like to die just because i don’t ear a guy behind me ^^.
Anyway, in othergame where sound is less important, I listen to different kind of music depending on the day, mostly EDM.
Seeing as there is no good way to listen to music on the One and play games, I go musicless. But it would be a mixture of Slipknot and various other metal bands.

Yeah me too. That way I can concentrate on the game and not get distracted. I also like to here my foes, especially when playing games where the radar is disabled.

I can’t listen to anything but the game. Any other sound just distracts me.
So naturally, when my girlfriend wants to watch Dexter on my laptop while I’m playing, my ability to focus takes a nosedive.
I like to ingest helium balloons and sing over the Mic to pump up my teammates.
I listen to the Rooster Teeth podcast. I like hearing conversation while I play. But since Halo 5 is new I won’t be playing anything just to get the full effect of the game for the first time.
