Music tracks for warzone

So, warzone being this massive multiplayer experience, what would better reinforce the epic battle feel other than music?

Halo has always had incredible tracks that go great with the battle, and it is certainly something I have wanted in MP for a while now. So, when I was checking out warzone, I felt like it was missing something, a missing piece , then I realized how epic this mode would be with some iconic halo tracks pumping you up for battle.

Various tracks could drop from req packs and could be activated before the start of a game. The track could start up while getting dropped by the pelican (shout out to Johnson)

The spectrum of tracks would be large, including tracks such as

  • Skyline - Special delivery - Engaged - Mjolnir mix - Sacred icon suite 2 - Farthest outpost - One final effort - 117 - The pillar of autumnThe list goes on.

I feel this would get a lot of players engaged in the battle, give them that epic feeling you get in campaign but in multiplayer. I know I would be more inclined to fight if one of these amazing tracks were playing in the background. Of course this would be 100% toggle-able for anyone who would not like music during their play.

How would you guys feel on the topic of being able to unlock some music tracks for warzone?

I noticed that in the Sprint episode 4, there was an orchestral version of To Galaxy. I think that’d it be pretty fitting for Warzone. Plus I agree with most of your song choices especially 117 and Sacred Icon Suite 2.

Listening to campaign music while in multiplayer would be a bit odd. Campaign music isn’t designed to fit multiplayer, it’s designed to fit the epic moments that you play as the Master Chief. Who knows, though, it could actually end up being amazing.

Music would get old FAST, because it always has. The only time it works is when it’s 1. subtle, 2. is triggered by an event, and 3.doesn’t loop to an annoying point. Having some creepy -Yoink- music in infection when you’re last, that’s great, but floods music betrays rule 1 and 3. Having a boss defeat music is cool, that doesn’t need to be subtle as it’s just a short jingle, and having music based on the boss that spawned is also good, as long as it follows the rules. Flood music for flood boss: low sirens and weird warbling, brute boss: heavy percussion, Sangheli boss: majestic but alien, you get it.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel some of these tracks would fit warzone well. Who knows.

I’m watching the new sprints as I type, looking out for that remix of To galaxy now.

I see what you mean, though if it is too much of a problem the player could just turn it off. Alternatively, as you said, having music t racks for certain events could also work well.

It’s towards the end of the last episode.

Not my taste, but if you like it more power to you. The more options the better.

Sounds good, just a bit hard to hear over all of the background sounds

Yeah but that’s the best he could do without sacrificing the sound of the track. But still it sounds really good, especially around 1:12

Ooh, ooh! What about Tip of the Spear from Halo: Reach and Intruders from Halo 4? Tip of the Spear is great, especially if you’re dodging loads of Banshees, Ghosts and Wraiths, and Intruders is good all around, but feels exceptionally cool when invading one of the bigger bases in stealth.

Oh, and Engaged from Reach. If you haven’t mentioned it already.

Oh, and sorry for the comment spam, this might be the last one, but that Desert/ruin type map, would be GREAT if it included the Anniversery remix of Zealous Champion.
