Music Sucks in Halo4

fixx the music

No, get out. There are much bigger problems and this is what you post?

Leave, just leave. You know, better yet, I’ll leave and maybe when I come back in the morning we won’t have arrogant trolls running around these forums without moderation.

Maybe.

I disagree with you, I think its really good. Also I really doubt they’ll fix it just because you told them to.

custom soundtracks!

I agree, worse yet, we can’t turn it off.

While I disagree with you entirely as the music in Halo 4 is awesome. There are solutions you can use right at home. Might I suggest listening to this while playing? Depending on how good/bad you are it should last you the whole campaign.

Custom soundtracks knocks off the music. You even get a message about it.

I agree, I often find myself humming Never Forget or Rock Anthem to Save the World. I can’t even name any of the songs in Halo 4 or remember the tunes, they’re not memorable or exceptional in any way.

Skyline. The best piece of Halo music ever!
Halo 4 soundtrack. Meh.

I think it sucks because:

It’s so quiet most of the time and doesn’t stand out where tracks in the other games used to. Other than that I’m happy with it.

Yes I said I like it! Oh, burn me at the stake! I’m a witch! A HERETIC!

Um? you guy make it seem like the entire Halo:CE, 2, 3, and Reach OST’s were amazing. each game had like 5 good tracks and the rest were meh. Actually I take that back, Reach had like 2 tracks that were good and one was a bonus track. Halo 4 has quite a few great tracks Arrival being one of them. 117 and Legacy are also good. So please, tell me how these tracks suck?

Because this is 117 times better?

Ya, I noticed about 3/4 of the way through campaign that the music was underwhelming.

It’s not bad, I think it sounds okay in the menus and it’s more futuristic sounding but it never heightened the atmosphere the way the Bungie games did.

I hope 343 finds someone else to compose 5. The music was really the only disappointment i had about the campaign.

edit: perhaps “heightened the atmosphere” isn’t the best way to describe it b/c it is attempting to be more atmospheric. It’s more like the old music increased the epicness.

No, this is. (Halo Lost Song)

I remember playing Halo CE high as a kite, listening to this song. It’s so relaxing.

You listed one track from the entire OST? does that even play during the campaign or is it just part of the OST? That track is also in the Halo 4 OST and sounds a lot better.

The only time I ever questioned the soundtrack is when the Mantle’s Approach[/i[ arrives at Installation 03. That track wasn’t in the OST and was just… odd.

It’s really good. Marty-worthy for sure.

However, let me quote this one guy that had an issue with the music:

> For all those who have played through the campaign of Halo 4 I’m sure you, like me, will be new to most of these tracks as the music was set at such a low volume I could only hear it when there was absolutly no-one around. Just make the music louder or at least give us a music volume option on settings. Great game, really it is, but the music is way too quiet.

Maybe for you, it’s not that it sucks, but instead you can barely hear it.

Spend a while listening to the OST, and see if you change your mind.

Lots of the music is either intense, epic, emotional, mysterious, open word like, or even all together.

I kind of like it…

Sir

Dear Original Poster,

Music is something most people refer to as subjective. Though your opinion is highly cherished and regarded in high esteem by yourself and others, not everyone will agree. I, personally, find Halo 4’s soundtrack a breathe of fresh air compared to the 3 similar sounding ones we received from Martin O’Donnell. But fear not, original poster, I understand where you’re coming from. We’ve had many years of hearing the same thing over and over again. Change is a hard thing to deal with. But with a little time and a strong support group, you’ll get through this. We’re here for you.
On a serious note, there are a multitude of things you could do to remedy this. Playlist on your 360, playing the preferred soundtrack through your gaming headset or through some speakers nearby, etc, etc. Most likely, you’re complaining about 4 songs, that were never played in the multiplayer aspect of the game. Unless you played campaign 24/7, I’m not seeing a real issue. I hope this brief message helped!

Best wishes,
Shapolean
