Reach was the first Halo game to experiment with adding music into multiplayer, namely with it’s Invasion game mode. It made moments and phases cooler, and having victory music play when you lugged the core to the extraction point really made ya feel awesome.
And then in Halo 4 we have music in every game mode now. Kind of ambient, not really blood pumping or anything. It’s neat, but I think in Halo 5 the feel and enjoyment of multiplayer could really be upped. I have a few ideas, I’ll just put them in numbered form.

Make in-game music a TOGGABLE feature in the options. If people don’t want music, let them turn it off.

Make the multiplayer lobby music exciting. The intro of To Galaxy in the Infinity music is so repetitive and bland, and don’t get me started on the ambient boops and beeps while searching for players.

When in the Mantis, play the Mantis themesong! Perhaps mix it up some, have the tempo be less dramatic while you’re not in combat, but when the chaingun is shootin’ and the shields are flaring, kick up the volume. Maybe even have the music play for team mates in proximity.

When a blow out is occurring and you’re on the winning team, have something nice and even positive playing. Something like Peril.

When a blow out is occurring and you’re on the losing team, have something hectic playing, something that tells you that, ‘Hey, something bad is happening!’

Music already plays when you have the flag, but it’d be cooler if the music increased in intensity relative to how close the flag was to being scored. Likewise, make it even more intense for the final flag cap.
