For many countless games on halo I always got the idea “Wait why is there no epic music playing?” They did try this in halo 4 and in my opinion it could be improved. The only piece of matchmaking music I like is Cloud city near the end. There should be an option to choose what halo music you want or if you want none at all. This would also be great for forgers because they could make a map really stand out. Personally I would like to listen to “A rock and a hard place” or “Wolverines Reborn” in the middle of the match so really get my blood pumping. But some games of halo don’t need music at all so this would be a fun little thing to toggle around with. Maybe even implement it with trait zones somehow. The music should also be able to be turned off altogether for a classic halo experience.
I can see where you’re comin’ from.
Somebody had another thread up about music while driving vehicles. Just imagine ‘I Love It’ while speeding a burning Warthog around the map. But epic music is pretty awesome, and my personal Halo 4 favs are ‘To Galaxy’ and the music at the end of ‘Midnight’. I think the reason they don’t include music during matchmaking is because there’s probably going to be gunfire, explosions, and other noises that are included in futuristic warfare drowning out the tune that’s playing. They could make an option to turn all that off, though. Also, I’m sure there’s a way, or could very easily become a way, to transfer music from that Xbox Music app thingy to the current game you’re playing. Those are my thoughts on it. I’m all in if it happens to become possible.
Only if it can be turned off. Music can be pretty distracting to me.
I would love to see this but have it optional.
My favorite implementation of this feature was in Reach’s Invasion mode. LOVED hearing the various parts of Lone Wolf while playing as the Spartans and taking each subsequent objective.
I’d love for more action-y sounding music like that to play as a match progresses.
I for one, enjoy the ambience and the background noises, so as long as there is an option to turn off music this go around, I’ll be satisfied
As long as you can turn it off
But otherwise, imagine playing 117 or Sacred Icon Suite in a match, those two can definitely influence your game if you know what I mean.
As much as I like background music, I’d like to keep it in campaign, and only at the intense parts. For matchmaking, I’ll let the sound of war be my soundtrack for multiplayer. For that occasion, the sounds of full automatic and semi automatic fire from rifles and pistols, explosions, and hand-to-hand combat are as good as music.
