I was just wondering who would be doing the music for the new game halo 4/ games please have the same people (Michael Salvatori, C. Paul Johnson Brilliant musicians) do the music if you dont it won’t have the same atmosphere as the other games. halo 2 had an epic guitar piece on the mission Delta Halo (Mjolnir Mix) EPIC. the music creates the atmosphere in the games you need to get it right to make it as epic and successful as the other 3
Thanks
Ben
Martin O’Donnell
The guy that does the music is the guy behind Metal Gear’s music. So I think we can count on him.

Actually, no. Sadly, he has remained with Bungie.
The new person is Japanese, I believe, and has done great work on Metal Gear Solid (I think), so hopefully he can continue the series’s legendary music.

Nope. The composer has yet to be announced.
I hope he atleast bases it all on the original music not to much new crap and no -Yoinking!- about with the originals trying to be clever.
I’d like to hear some sick guitar songs, just ripping it up with solos.
From what I’ve heard, and everyone else has heard, of the music, I think it’s safe to say that it’s going to be different from the music of the main Halo Trilogy. It appears to retain some of the more mysterious atmosphere we’ve seen, which is fitting for mysterious setting of Halo 4. From a pure musical perspective, the music is different. The use of motif appears to be different, and the orchestration is different. They’ve said that they don’t want to, and can’t properly emulate Marty’s music, so they’re doing their whole own thing, which I think is good. Emulation of other composers’ style lacks the depth and power of original work. That said, I’d be surprised if we’re not going to see the familiar monk motif, one way or the other.
For obvious reasons H4’s score wont be exactly like the other music from the past games, thats not to say they wont mix in some of the old style to remind people that this is still the Halo universe that we are still exploring.
But by listening to the background music playing during the “working at 343” video, especialy @ 00:38, yeah, I think 343 will do a damn good job on this regard.
And IMO its fitting to have a new score for a new trilogy. It will be like listening to CE’s music for the first time all over again.
