Halo’s soundtrack has been my favourite soundtrack ever. I just keep thinking - Will they not use any of those amazing tracks? Will they re-record them and change them around?
I just can’t imagine none of Halo 1-3’s soundtrack not being in a game with the Master Chief. Will they just let all those amazing tracks go to waste and not use them again in a game? Yes, the new soundtrack is looking good and all but I’d still love to see some re-recorded version of one of the old classics.
I’ve been listening to all the tracks on the Halo soundtracks recently and it’s sad to think they won’t be in Halo 4
I’ve been listening to the ODST, Reach and Halo 3 soundtracks and before I did, I didn’t mind having an all new soundtrack but now I totally want some remixed and some exactly the same as they were
Maybe, i don’t know. Apparently some of you have already played the game via time machine. You tell me, since the overall consensus is that game already sucks.

Sure! He says it at some point in the video on the page. BTW, he also reveals new Cortana (Jen Taylor!!) voice files!!

I don’t have a source, but I can fortify it by saying that in a bunch of Interviews and Articles they have said they won’t be using very much of the original Music as they want to solidify this as “Their” Halo…
…Not that I have a problem with that, though I may be a tad Enraged if they should choose not include an Easter Egg of some form where they have a “Remastered” Track of the Original or of Siege of Madrigal…

My mistake. Either way, I am sure the same goes for music as well. He is, after all, the overall music AND sound Director. Niel just writes and composes the peices.
Perhaps small fragments of it, which would be sufficient. But of course, most of it will be new stuff. Which will be intriguing to say the least. It sounds like Neil is doing a nice job.

Yeah, he can choose to put older soundtracks and what soundtracks to use and all so that’s good.

That would be enough to satisfy me. I’m excited to hear the new soundtrack and glad they’re composing all new music for the game but I still want a tiny bit of the old classic soundtracks.
Some retention of the original melody would be nice. Small fragments of the aforementioned melody, anyway.
I want to hear tracks similar to “Peril” from Halo 2 whilst roaming wooded, forested areas. In fact, I’d love to hear a lot of ambiance whilst roaming around.
