"Muscle Memory" Movement

Just want to know, if you have one, what’s the movement you do the most without thinking and in which occasion?

Mine it’s: Start, d-pad down, A, d-pad up, A or B (depends if I can keep calm or not); you may imagine when I do this.

P.S. I said Start because I don’t like nor I remember to call it Menù.

-Yoink!- all the way.

Depends on the map and game mode… I used to just charge for the scattershot on rig and Colosseum… but then they were stolen from me when 343 changed the weapons.

For me, it seems to be melee (Right Bumper) + thrust backwards (Left Bumper) whenever I get into a close-quarters gunfight. Then there’s the sprint + slide (B) + jump (A) + thrust (Right Bumper) that I use to get around.

The sprint+thrust+slide+jump is much faster btw

Really? Will have to try that then. Might take a while to get used to though.

It did take me a while to get used to.

i spin the right control stick a lot.

I just melee when someone gets close, doesn’t matter if they already died, if they get close…WHAM. I hit them.

I’ve finally got the muscle memory on the binary rifle down pat. After finishing all my commendations of course -_- Trying to get the binary commendation sucked. Wish i had this newly gained power when i started. The trick is different than the beam or human rifle. You want to either start at the head then pan down towards the torso if you are shooting a stationary spartan. If they’re moving you wanna start at the torso then pan to the head or stay on the torso. It sounds simple but being used to the human or binary rifle makes me wanna pan only left or right then only focus on a head shot instead of pan towards the torso after firing. the fact that death isn’t instant makes you wanna stop after pulling the trigger but the strength lies in its ability to stick onto the torso for sure death being that the beam goes on for a few moments after firing. After getting good with this weapon its much much more satisfying than the other snipers. wish i had more reqs for it bc i wanna use it every game.

Reload, melee, Sprint + trust + slide + jump, strafing.

Reload and melee are givens but strafing is a good one. Once you get a good strafe it is hard to forget.

Yea, I like doing this thing where you jump sideways and then immediately trust the other direction. It completely throws the enemy off!

Auto zoom in before firing the shotty and crouching while hammering for some reason.

I like the noob combo. Simple charge of the plasma pistol and a quick switch to the magnum for the head shot. There isn’t a lot to remember to it. You just need to be quick at it. Since i’ve started playing Breakout my reflexes and head shot count has gone WAY up.

Also I’ve been getting better at quick switching my grenades and planting them exactly where I want. I use a lot of the same patterns when I’m playing Breakout and grabbing a splinter grenade and quick tossing it at the flag has been a go to move much of the time. It will either destroy the opponent that headed straight to grab the flag or keep them backed off until the grenade expires. Either way it’s a positive result.

Firing off like one shot, reloading, sprint, thrust

It isn’t always fair to do that, but if they deserve it, let them feel your -Yoink!- slowly.

P.S. And remember: dip, dip, potato chip, dip, dip, potato chip, dip, dip, potato chip, DIP, DIP, POTATO CHIP (needed citation of the Noob from Battlefield Friends).

Since I love playing Grifball, it happened me a lot, in the heat of the moment, to hit the left stick when smashing the hammer and getting crouched, and was really annoying for me because I couldn’t move fast enough to avoid the enemy’s hammer, then I found out you can choose if toggle it or not XD

I pretty much stabilize jump everything now. Also I tend to quickly rotate my aiming stick in down time between kills. Kinda keeps my muscle memory in check in case I get caught off guard.

Jesus…I forgot about BFFs…good times…

Mine are panic punch, -Yoink!- as I walk over a corpse, and an urge to reload after a kill…sometimes accidentally before they are dead lol
