Okay, the titles on this forum have to be so short, that I wonder if anybody understood what I was trying to say.
Let me try: What I understand is armor cores are essentially the base of your Spartan. If you unlock X shoulderpad that shoulderpad will only work on 1 armor core. So that seems like a hassle if you want to switch from let’s say the Mk. VII – Olympus armor core to the Mk. V – Reach armor core. You essentially have to make the Spartan from scratch.
So I thought it would be nice to have maybe 3 saved Spartans (essentially armor cores) you can choose from before a match. This should be 100% be cosmetic. I don’t want anything like Destiny where your 3 characters (Hunter, Titan and Warlock) are essentially 3 different people who all have the same chores/bounties to complete every single week. Ugh. This would just be as simple as: “Hey, this match I want to play as my Yoroi Spartan and the next as my Mk. V – Reach Spartan.” Without having to build the Spartan from the ground up every single time.

I feel like this was an option in the flight. If it wasn’t it hinted at it. You could save a preferred Spartan look.
Now I’m not sure if you could save multiple or how it worked as I didn’t use it. But there is something along those lines there. Hopefully it allows multiple and is easily selectable in the match searching lobby so you can change in between games. I felt the customisation a bit clunky while searching for a game as you have to go backwards in the menus while it searches but occasionally it stopped the search without me realising.
It would be nice to access customisation and battle pass easily from the pause menu when in the lobby.

Armor Cores are just the foundational pieces that all the armor goes on top of. They are doing this so they can specifically have different sets per one core and it all blends together. They are not classes like Destiny since they are only cosmetic foundations.

Why are you writing this? I know how armor cores work.
Once i can mix and match any and all amours ill be happy. If i cant have a piece of amour because its locked to that generation or amour core then i wont be happy. If i can have my reach helmet and be able to have anything else ill be happy but if i pick Reach and im only options to customize my spartan is from reach and not any other generation then this will be horrible.
