Multiplayers issues boil down to crossplay?

Im on the fence of “ Crossplay “ Killed Halo Infinite.

I am not saying “ Crossplay “ is the reason why Infinite is the worst launched Halo title, I am saying that ; With Crossplay, Comes having to balance out PC players and Console players.

In this case for Infinite, 343 Industries clearly catered to PC players for the launch of the game and then neglected to acknowledge console players and the issues they face while up against PC players.

It is pretty obvious that 343 Industries never thought about an Anti-Cheat system, if so ; It would show, but with Swat and many “ Swat “ type playlist or events, Cheaters are running rampant and are easy to point out, especially with how bad the ranking system is.

Alot of the issues with Infinite come from PC players voicing there ( Wants - Needs ) , while console players point out The ( Needs ) to improve the game.

I own both PC and Xbox and Infinite on both look the same, but play COMPLETELY different. On the PC side, regardless of how godly your build is with Frame drops ; PC players have an MASSIVE ADVANTAGE over console players.
Factor in the settings and for PC and on Infinite, then compare that to Console player settings, then yeah, Its obvious 343 Industries is catering to PC players.

The In game shop / Micro-transaction store needs to go, this is where I personally believe why the game population has flatlined and died. With little to no way to unlock armor just by investing time into the game vs just buying armor / cosmetics ; 343 Industries has effectively removed all incentive to playing the game.

Fortnite is WAY more engaging and player friendly with its micro-transaction store.

Halo Infinite is not an Halo title to me ( MY OPINION ) its bare bone, lack luster and full of issues that will be addressed probably 2 - 3 years from now.

I am willing to bet. 343 Industries will release another Halo installment unrelated to Infinite, like another Spartan strike and invest more time and money in to that then Infinite.

If this was the case, Infinite wouldnt have issues on pc.

thing is when playing with someone when the game is also on pc, if someone outplays you its clearly a cheater. Heck i have been called hacker in mcc many times while i do not.

How?

yeah you dont own a pc. If you did you would have known that games on pc need to have additional video settings.

From my experience yes.

Im not hating on any platform but its consistently more common when against a different platform. And whenever people arent taking damage at certain intervals then thats an issue.

Desync has nothing to with PC players or internet connections. There was an HCS event a few weeks ago. They were on LAN and on consoles and there was a ton of desync occurring during the tournament. So no, PC has nothing to do with it. Just a bad game.

the only prob with this game atm is not many people have the newer gen processors it takes to run it yet. and they cant match up fair games against an integrated graphics card xbox server. it takes WAY more usage to process this game on a computer for some reason. even processors better than xbox cant do it. because its not that hybrid style.

It is sad to say that now the population of players is so low they cannot afford to turn cross play off. If this game was any good they could do so easily as the population would still be high but now they are concerned about lingering time waiting to get a game which would expose this mess even more.

NEVER FORGET THIS GAME IS ABOUT GENERATING MONEY AND NOT THE ACTUAL EXPERIENCE.

As long as they still have revenue flooding in they have no need to change anything !!!

For the love of God “”STOP BUYING STUFF”

Not a terrible idea, but Halo MCC doesn’t have this sort of desync like Infinite and I’ve been playing MCC on PC for about a year and a half now.

Yes, this. I’m wondering more about networking, connections, and servers, and whether there are issues related to how different clients might interact with servers and indirectly with each other. Nothing to do with user input device, though this is one of the only ways to guess who’s using PC and who’s not because the game doesn’t provide any other info.

Again it’s just annecdotal, but imagine then putting PC (with little to no desync) in a match with console (with bad desync) and how well that works. I would argue the mere fact that there seems to be a difference between PC and console in terms of desync IS evidence. It shows the issue is correlated to the differences in how PC vs console interact with the servers. And if true, the issue will only be exacerbated when you try to sync everyone up in the same game.

Not saying anything about getting rid of crossplay. More players the better. Just wondering if it could be a source of technical issues behind the scenes. If so I’d hope the solution would be to work on a fix, not get rid of it.

It surely is a technical issue. The bigger, faster and more advanced games become the more challenges that come about them. Fix one really big bug may create two or even three smaller bugs in the game. It’s a process that continues to be addressed and changed. Hence why we continue to receive ingame updates.

Considering how many other games feature crossplay and have little to no issues I’d say you’re incorrect on this assessment. Truth is Microsoft pushed a very unfinished game out too early. That’s the cause.

its not evidence if there isnt sound data to back it up.

sorry, they did not “cater” to PC players. There were 270,000 steam players at launch now there are 2,000 playing. This is because they gave controller auto aim and mnk zero bullet magnetism. They wanted to ahve a competitive shooter in 2022 but focused on controller dominance? since when has xbox live had more players than steam? 400,000 CSGO players at 3 in the morning right now. less than 2000 infinite players. They shouldn’t have crutched the controller.
