Are the servers down? I’m having trouble getting on multiplayer.
I don’t believe so. I was playing around that time and didn’t seem to be having any trouble. Remember you can always check the Xbox Live Service Status.

In case you are experiencing a black screen with a spinning wheel just before the match is supposed to start: have you purchased VOM and use anything but palmer right now?
If that’s a yes to all of the above just go back to palmer and see if it works (which it should)

Going back to Palmer solved this for me. I wish 343 would acknowledge and provide an eta on a fix.
