So as the title goes, I bought the $1 Gold Membership and my account states that it’s currently Gold, however when I try to play Warzone, Arena or even join a custom game the game states:
"MULTIPLAYER REQUIRED: This mode requires an account with Xbox Live Gold with Multiplayer Privileges enabled and a connection to Xbox Live.
Would you like to go to the Home Screen and check your privileges?"
When I press OK here, it just takes me to the page to buy Gold, again, despite me having Gold Membership.
I’ve hard reset my Xbox, restarted the game multiple times and I’m now tempted to reinstall Halo 5 although I doubt even that will work.
So what do I do?
EDIT: Tried MG:O and that didn’t let me play multiplayer either so this appears to be a problem with my account rather than Halo 5
$1 Gold? Is that a trial of Gold? Never heard of a $1 Gold membership but I do know that some things don’t work with a trial of Xbox Live Gold and need a full, true subscription.
As you already surmised, though, your best bet will be to contact Xbox Support.
Having the same issue with Halo 5 and Battlefield 1. Have tried everything. Adult account, no restrictions, paid $1 for the month membership but have full gold access. Have done the resets, the clears, everything that EA games sent me to trouble shoot for battlefield and everything I have seen online regarding the same issue with Halo 5. Ideas anyone?
