Multiplayer Voices, Combat music or both?

As I was playing Halo reach firefight For the first time I remembered how the select-able voices spiced up the combat for the first time and gave our spartans some life, It was a really cool experience to pop a grunt in the face and hear Buck crack some wise–Yoink- joke Example. I would personally love to have voices in multiplayer for a more engaging experience.

-About the Music

Bungie could have implemented Marty’s amazing music in multiplayer I’m sure they have they’er reasons, As the combat picks up Epic non-to distracting but inspiring music that would intensify as the combat does begins to play, a simplistic mechanic similar to Halo Wars Example, could apply to custom games as well, allowing Forgers**(or Cartographers what ever they’ll call the new mode)** to select music to play at key points of gameplay.

I think the Voices should just stick to Firefight, as it might get in the way of using a mic and, in the end, be distracting. The music is a good idea though, and could be used to give Invasion maps a more campaign feel.

Music would definitely add to the experience, as for example, if lots of vehicles are being used at one time, the music will become forte (loud) and thus make for some motivation.

I definitely support firefight voices in matchmaking. Music, I don’t know. I mean, it’s easy enough to play music through the Xbox, but I’m not entirely against multiplayer soundtracks.

You could just have it so when the mic is plugged in voices don’t play. Simple solution.

If the voices have a purpose then yes. Battlefield 3 has battle dialogue and it is really effective in making the game-play more absorbing and informative.

I wouldn’t want either music or multiplayer voices, to be honest. When I’m playing multiplayer, I’m usually talking to people I’m playing with. Having extra sounds would end up being quite distracting and annoying, turning my room into a cacophony of unneeded sounds.

In plus, it would get quite annoying for somebody to be yelling “GRENADE!!!” or “BAM HEADSHOT” all the time. Yes, I see that I threw a grenade or got a headshot, thanks, no need to yell it to me.

Have you ever played any other multiplayer game? Many use in-game voices and music. Halo is one of the few that don’t.

Yes of course, and I’ve always found the voices to be rather useless and annoying.

In plus, just because every other game does it, it doesn’t mean Halo should do it too.

Okay then. Still, I must disagree. I’ve always found voices to make the game more enjoyable.

Maybe the music but not the voices my reason being I think they would get repetitive

I think it would suck to have your character give away your position all the time.
