It was a pretty good trailer at gamescon. But it kind of felt disappointed with the brutes carrying plasma repeaters. They didn’t look as menacing as if they had spikers or carrying a brute shot.

Brutes haven’t been intimidating since H3, unfortunately… and now their weapons feel similar to most other covenant weapons whereas before they had a distinct style and brutality (no pun intended).
It was kinda odd, especially since we do know that Infinite will have plenty of brute weapons. Otherwise though, I think that trailer was flawless, and open to tons of speculation.

Yeah I totally agree but I feel the writers of Halo wars 2 did a pretty phenomenal job introducing the banished and like setting up that story line I mean the cutscenes in Halo wars 2 was amazing.

Halo Wars 2 reinvented the Brutes in a very good way… but we have yet to see that actually come to fruition in the main series. That is what I was referring to. So far I’ve seen nothing from Infinite that inspires fear in the player towards Brutes - not the way that Legendary Brutes did in H2 and H3.
I think the one thing everyone should focus on…is Spartans coming in drop pods…what other games can you drop from the Sky?
Fortnite…
i was disapointed to with:
no big figth scene
a sapartan injured (dont know why, just got me)
Honestly I didn’t think the trailer was very good. The voice acting was actually poor in the hangar with the Spartan trainees.

Shadows of reach and escharums speech have me worried atriox is gonna end up being boring under 343i.
Hope I’m wrong but there’s some differences in character I find a bit worrisome

Agree. They should of been riding choppers and throwing spike grenades as well. Nice to see them back though even if they are kind of tame.
Just wondering has Big Ben been in any other Halo game?
Pretty nice trailer but the lore nerd in me was wondering what Spartans would be deployed on Earth during the invasion. Blue Team were there, but no other S-IIs, so I guess it’s yet another S-III team that just springs out of nowhere like Noble. As for the one injured Spartan, it’s nice to remember that Brutes are kinda strong. The Chief almost died in his first battle with one of these so it’s not hard to believe that other Spartans, especially in close quarters combat like in the trailer, could also get into some trouble if they rustle Craig’s jimmies.
Nitpicking aside, it was a decent CG trailer with some fantastic music. That opening shot of Big Ben being absolutely dwarfed by the surrounding buildings was fantastic.

I don’t think HW2 gets enough credit for having a great story with a terrific enemy. I get that many people don’t like RTS games, but it was a superb game, and my favorite on Xbox One.

halo 5 did this, but thankfully the Infinite pods are not the disgusting awful design of the ones in 5, far as we can tell. The pods in this trailer are like the ones we loved from ODST.
Anyway, something odd about the trailer, and I feel like this is a repeat of Halo 4’s cinematic where all the spartans were just the Chief’s model being re-used;
Mark VII Spartan IV’s on Earth in 2552?
Mark VII has a very inconsistent and messy history, lol

I was pretty disappointed by the trailer overall. While it visually looked decent later, the phantoms at first made me thing it was some sort of animated comic book type thing.
It seems like multiplayer will have some sort of weak connection to the narrative, which I’m not sure how I feel about. It has to be done really carefully, or it could tank the story for both SP and MP. I remember when I played through Modern Warfare and thought it was really awesome, then there was some dumb cinematic cutscene for one of the “seasons” of multiplayer content that unceremoniously brought back a key player from the campaign who had died, basically just to sell them as a skin?
Hoping that’s not the future of halo.

A Spartan ? Where do you see Spartans ? The only real Spartans are Spartan II created by Halsey, the others are only a poor copy !

The Brutes never carrying plasma repeaters during the earth invasion, is it so difficult to respect the continuity 343 ?
