I don’t really have expansive thoughts on this, but would it be a good idea for them to implement the Halo 3 system for ranks, and the Reach system for credits? Rank would actually mean something again, and armor wouldn’t exactly be rank-dependent. (I.E., all armor is unlocked the second you get the game, but you have to save up for it.) Thoughts, questions, etc.? I know this really isn’t some mind-blowing idea, but it seems to make sense to me.
I actually like this idea. Halo 3 ranking system was fine, Halo Reach credit system is better than the Spartan Rank system in Halo4.
I still think we should do the credit system with the default and rather basic armors. More elaborate, cooler, and classic armors should be unlocked through Achievements or Commendations(provided that the commendation requirements aren’t a grind that encourages players to boost and not play the game properly).

The only thing I have against the halo 3 ranking system is that you HAD to have a good team to rank up since it was totally victory Dependant.
Suggest having a true skill for those who like it along with a experience type ranking system that gives the victor double their xp ,However both are displayed and there is an average skill calculated across playlists since I thought the ranking of each playlist was quite annoying.
