I think this would be a great idea. Maybe player 1 would be Chief and players 2, 3, and 4 would be their multiplayer Spartans?
I could definitely get behind this! I love the idea of galivanting around with the Chief on his quest to save everyone.

I made a thread like this a few months ago. Making our customized spartans as Chief’s companions and the party host is Master chief, better than the whole Blue team and Osiris aspect. Better than four Master Chief clones.

Yes, that’s the idea. My opinion is this;
So, in the settings of the campaign you can have an individual toggle like skins in MCC that enables multiplayers Spartans as players 2 - 4. That way, obviously Chief remains as your Main player/character but you also have additional Spartans fighting alongside Chief.

Exactly.
Obviously, I’d want my fellow players to be wearing reasonable armours and colour combinations for it but I think the premise is great.
Infinite will provide mission were you are intended to go out and save Marines, liberate Fortresses, ect. We know this and I think having players 2, 3 and 4 be additional Spartans plays right into it.
Master Chief will be leading, or help reform resistance against the Banished. The UNSC is scattered, broken. So, what does Master Chief do? He becomes who he’s supposed to be, the “greatest of their clan”; Master Chief leads the Spartans to help put the UNSC back together on Zeta Halo.
So, I think it fits perfectly.

I wholeheartedly agree.
Nobody wanted to be Blue Team or Osiris or Locke. They wanted to be Master Chief. Getting to involve our own Spartans would be magical, I reckon.

Wellllll when they did a poster reveal for Halo 5, showing Blue team and Osiris, everyone was more excited. It was only how they were in the campaign, people realized they were irrelevant.

I didn’t say nobody wanted them in the game. Saying nobody really wanted to play as them over Chief.
Your own Spartan though? Tempting.

Well def better than clones of Chief for sure.
That would be really cool instead of just a second Chief. Maybe when you play co-op they could let all of you choose if you wanna be Chief or your mp spartan.
Recovering the concept of Halo 3 would seem perfect to me. Either through different characters with names and histories, or even with our own Spartans. I find it as a great idea.

Yeah, it could be a personal toggle that allows you to choose to be Chief or your MP Spartan if you are players 2, 3 or 4.
I disagree on letting everyone pick. Someone still has to be Chief.

I’d prefer MP Spartans tbh, hell you could even have the Spartans do chatter like the Multiplayer chatter from Halo 5 MP if they wanted, obviously with a toggle attached. It’d be no different than Chief rounding up Marines, instead its three Spartan IV’s ready to follow the Chief into battle.
