The title says it for me: in my opinion, we should be able to see our Spartans in Campaign at least once. Anything from a background character in a cutscene to an invincible partner in a level or two, like Johnson or the Arbiter in Halo 3, or Noble Team in Halo: Reach.
> Why, if theres one thing I hate its thread titles that seem to demand things from 343i.
> Our guys are in spartan ops thats good enough for me.
Well, I hate people complaining about every little thing about a game they haven’t even played, but they’re not going away, so I’ll have to adapt, just like you can adapt to poorly-worded thread titles.
How I see it is once, Chief boards the infinity or a elephant a Spartan (our model) just kinda stares him down…And Chief just walks by but also acknowledging the spartan like giving him a nod of some sort.
That or when Chief is near the infinity since it has crash landed you see a dead spartan with your/our model from multiplayer

That actually seems like quite a good idea. I wouldn’t mind seeing our custom SARTAN from War games and Spartan Ops make a cameo appearance in Halo 4’s campaign.

I like the first idea, but the second one probably wouldn’t work, given that Spartan Ops is 6 months after the Campaign.

totally forgot about Spartan Ops taking 6 months after the main campaign, my bad thanks for the heads up.

True, but it could just be like a nod to our characters.
Think of it as a friendly trollface from 343i to the community!!!
If not that, then I totally agree our Spartan should make an appearance in the Campaign.
Maybe they could make the Spartan one of the A.I. Spartans that fight along with Chief!!!
DISCLAIMER: This suggestion was made by a person who hasn’t the slightest clue how difficult that would be to program. Do not flame me, plox.

I love that idea! I don’t know -Yoink- about programming, either, but how did Halo: Reach’s Campaign, Multiplayer, and Firefight use the same character model? Like I said, I don’t know anything about programming, but I’m imagining similarities.
Even if we get a cameo, I wouldn’t get my hopes up… It’ll probably be a Brink-style cameo, where our SPARTAN-IV just performs some unimportant background task without receiving so much as a gesture from the main characters in the scene. Anything more, and 343i runs the risk that a player’s Spartan would react “wrong”, in a manner that might not match up with how a player would personify them.
Lol id be happy with just a passing by glance, just as a shout out, but i dont want my boy doing anything too drastic thats best left to the imagination and spartan ops
AHHH! Don’t say that word! Suffice to say, is one of the words the Spartans of Infinity cannot hear!
Anywho, I could see it being something simple like John passing our Spartan IV with a group of other Spartan IV’s, and our Spartan gives him a small nod. Simple, difficult to “mess up,” and enough to make fans feel awesome.

Never played Brink, but that’d probably work. Maybe the other Spartans would be the ones used by other people in the Party, or in your Friends List, or even other accounts on your XBox.
Apparently, in Co-op, it’s 4 Chiefs just like in CE and H2.
It’s good because nostalgia. Could be bad because Co-op is about redefining the experience. On the other hand, Solo deserves more attention + Scarab gun esque easter eggs.
H3: additional Co-op players have a place in canon (not really. Point of origin for flashlight effect is not supported. Co-op characters never appear in cinematics), 4 Ghosts for hog run
ODST: infinite ammo rocket launchers
Reach: difficulty scales to number of players, Co-op exclusive easter eggs
