multiplayer should be revealed before the CAMPAIGN

The longevity of every Halo game has always been determined by its multiplayer. Reach failed to impress the hardcore fans of the series, and unless they update the game to feature Faster Kill Times in all playlists, new and better maps and more ZB variants, I see little reason Reach will last through 2012.

Halo 4 needs to return the multiplayer to CE and Halo 2 status, where everything was Overpowered, everything was useful, and everything was fun. If they reveal Halo 4, Multiplayer should be shown first as that is where Halo lives or dies past its launch date…

I’d rather keep seeing Campaign stuff honestly, because I’ve always liked the campaign better then the multiplayer… -.-

I really don’t care I just want some halo 4 news, and fast!!!

Dude, multiplayer was a last minute idea, and personlly, I don’t want to see campaign over multiplayer. Multiplayer is fun and all, and people really want to see multiplayer, but here’s the thing if they show a multiplayer trailer this early, and not show a campaign trailer for another month or so, people are going to be more mad than if it was the other way around. Multiplayer should be left until a little more down the road, after a trailer or two for the campaign.

Also, yes we know reach failed to impress the “hardcore” fans, but personally I don’t think a true hard core fan of the series only plays multiplayer, and let the multiplayer game play make or break the game. If you only play multiplayer in Halo, that’s fine and all, but those of us who are true fans of the series, not of the multiplayer, would like to know what is in store for us in the campaign.

I don’t mind what I see first. I was disappointed at both the campaign and the multiplayer in Reach so what I see first doesn’t really matter. I just want a Halo 4 multiplayer beta.

Unlike CoD, Halo’s strongest point IS it’s story telling. MP should be, and alway should be a secondary concern.

No and it has no chance of happening.

Campaign shows better because it is cinematic. MP is ugly to look at it in trailers and stuff.

This pretty much sums it up.

Campaign is all about story-telling. Halo is renowned for this. We should see multiplayer first, though. How long has any bloody campaign lasted…? Oh, 10 hours? What about multiplayer? Oh, 3+ years? We don’t need anymore fantasy trailers with nice graphics. Sure, they look nice, but the game engine will NEVER look as nice as these trailers.

Let’s have reality set in now.

Look at my post. The Truth is all that matters. You either live by the Truth, or you live a lie.

In my opinion, if 343/MS show multiplayer first, all that tells me is that they’re trying to directly compete with Battefield & COD. Cause if you remember all the hoopla between those two games, they weren’t competing for who had the best campaign. It was mostly for the multiplayer. Cause imo, Halo is a campaign game first, and multiplayer game second. Unlike other games in the genre, Halo actually builds itself on story.

Of course, any trailer at this point will satisfy me. But I’d rather 343/MS reveal campaign first. Then somewhere down the line, reveal multiplayer.

Campaign tells how he got to places that you play in during multiplayer

Personally I just want to see any amount of gameplay. Campaign, matchmaking, forge, ect… If anything we should see some of the campaign first, though. Halo is one big story after all.

That may have been true for Reach, but not the other Halo’s. For example, Orbital, Assembly, Blackout, Foundry, and so on are all different multiplayer maps. Did we ever see Chief go there? No. To a point, you are right. We do see chief enter different areas, but never the specific multiplayer map. At this point, Frankie and a few others are writing the campaign as they see fit. It seems to be headed in the direction of “let’s make it up as we go along?” I still argue that multiplayer is the stronger half. I could care less about all these other shooters since I’m strictly Halo. H2 was a hit due to xbox live “multiplayer.” Reach had the hardest campaign, but that only lasts for so long (20 hours). How did Reach hurt Halo? Multiplayer. It’s time to heal the wounds :). Given all these circumstances, you know where I logically, truthfully stand.

yeah i think they shud bring multiplayer BETA Out

So you’d rather be spoiled about the Campaign? I’d rather see a lot of multiplayer because I want the Campaign to be a complete mystery… Remember how they showed the Sabre mission in Reach? Now imagine playing that for the first time without knowing it was in the game…

I do too, but that is why i don’t want to see campaign stuff, Odst was the first halo game i followed, i feel like if i didn’t follow it and watch all the videos i would have gotten a lot more out of it, all the previous games i had no idea what was going to happen, and it made it that much more special.
