I had a blast. Not sure what you are talking about.
^ This.
Every single game runs like garbage (I’m running at 160MB/s from the East Coast, and have no other devices connected to the network).
I get that it’s a stress test, but matchmaking is completely unplayable.
You’re not the only one AncientGin, my game had maybe 2/3 vfx and sfx playing a buncha times, and sometimes abilities just went crazy. Sometimes very laggy too.

Great cool thanks, super helpful.
I’m talking about performance in case you’re that thick, I’m not talking about fun.

It’s hard to play a stress test when my fps grinds to a slideshow, an optimised build would be helpful as I’m not going to play against other people if it’s going to be this bad.
Maybe because rtx 30 series are still pretty new and they just need to optimize it for that card series, im running ryzen 3800x with a rx 5700 and got a good 60 + frames without any frame lag or any other issue.

The FR was so bad on my last game that I couldn’t even jump (literally - it just stuttered and stalled).
I uninstalled after a few hours. Even on the rare occasions where I had a playable connection, there was no draw - nothing exciting happens in any match.
I don’t pay on pc but I have both an Xbox one and a series x. On the one it’s close to unplayable. You can not aim at all. Can’t win a melee fight. It’s horrible. Lucky to go 4 and 8.
On the serious x is just about the opposite. I can scope people from distance. I win a lot of 1v1. I can use the pistol, br, and sniper. I’ve only had 1 legit negative game (and my team got owned, including me lol) .
My point is I think infinite is going to have to have strong hardware to be fun. I feel for poodle who won’t have a series x. They won’t play for long at all. They will quit right after they finish the campaign. If that’s playable…

My performance only tanks in social matches which I find bizarre, against bots I get consistent 50+ FPS.
I have an R5 5600X and an RTX 3080 playing @ 1440p, 100% render scale with everything at ultra, and I get around 110-120 fps average, probably with some framedrops as there is occasional stuttering here and there. It does feel, without a doubt, better than yesterday, though. I did go and turn off “Fullscreen optimizations” in the game’s properties, though, as I saw somewhere that it may make the game feel better.

It’s still not that great on the series x either…

I disagree. I have had a blast playing today on the X. I’ve had a few wtf moments but not enough to make a difference.

I was getting that other day with bots and now my game is just screwed up now. The performance has dropped out the window and now its a slideshow on the loading screen before the menu. Like WTF. I’ve already submitted a ticket and I don’t give enough of a -Yoink- to uninstall and reinstall. I’ll just wait for the actual game to come out.
Edit: Fixed my problem, something weird going on with WMI Provider Host.
I had the occasionally stutter and frame rate drops but other than that I really did not have any server issues or bugs in-game. I had a lot more issues trying to equip armor and skins to the guns in the menu than anything else. Unlocking things for my Spartan and not be able to equip them for like 30 mins because it would like forever load.
I play on PC. I don’t know about anyone else but I use a 2060 Super and my framerate was still fine targeting 60 fps, maybe with the occasional stuttering but otherwise fine. I didn’t have many performance issues this flight, most notable thing I experienced were effectively two crashes.

How is this game running low fps when it’s a competitive shooter, not an issue?

I currently run a 60HZ monitor (or TV I should say) and I can’t see more than 60 at the moment. Performance isn’t an issue for me because it ran well enough to hit near 60 most of the time. I don’t doubt if others are having issues hitting higher than that though. What may seem like bad performance for you is good performance to someone else. My minimal standard for games today is 1080P at 60 FPS at the very least. It also doesn’t help if the 30 series is still somewhat new, because usually around that time they have to do a lot of optimizing and driver updates to get most of the GPU.
