Dear 343,
Fix Multiplayer.
No really this entire multiplayer is a complete crapfest. Ban users who leave for like 20mins. No matter what. I’m so sick of losing because someone leaves or winning easily because you out number your enemy. It’s boring to win with no challenge and annoying to lose with a disadvantage. If you just straight up ban these people that leave then it fixes the problem. As long as the ban isn’t like a stack of so many and then perma ban. Just some temporary bans. Anyone that legit has to leave won’t be affected by a 20min ban. So it’s a win for everyone because all the stupid leavers won’t be able to infect games. For those that continue to leave over and over increase the bans to hours, days, etc. Then we can actually have legit players that want to get better and win games.
The next thing you need to fix is REQ packs. The armour unlocks are soooo boring and most of it is complete trash to individual persons. I have like 2 favorite armours in the game and the only reason is because my favorite is Legendary and it’s way to hard to unlock. I will have to endlessly plug hours and hours into multiplayer to get points to even have a chance at my favorite legendary armour. I only want that armour. Not any of the other trash legendaries I don’t care about. This isn’t an MMO the armours are just for looks. Can we please just have access to unlocking the armour we want to play with and not worry about going through the 100’s of trash armours just to get the one we want. I don’t have that kinda time to put in the game. I just wanna unlock armour I like and play from there for fun. Let us filter of the junk we don’t want. It feels like work trying to unlock REQ packs day after day. Not to mention it takes forever to get 5000 points. Put leavers, long game times, and losing into that and makes gaining points a living nightmare.
Ranking system… If I win a game and advance, then lose a game right after because someone left or something stupid like that. I don’t deserve to drop a ranking. Even when I get top score. Like come on! That’s so annoying. At least give it 2 losses to drop a rank after you gain one. Not only that but for every 1 rank I advance I drop like 3 ranks because of losing game after game in a row; due to most of the time people leaving games. Making me mad, resulting in more reckless desperate gameplay to try and win. It’s such an unhealthy environment for players that are good but don’t have time to put in hours to become the best. I have a life aside from playing Halo 5 all day. I also enjoy competing in ranked. Don’t match me up with people who have no life and play all day and have perfected their shooting and map control abilities. People that might play one gametype all day and have a high rank/skill level then decide to switch it up have gold-plat in that gametype and come in my ranking and wipe the floor with my team. No one wants to fight a brick wall when your not equiped to deal with one. At least let us obtain a hammer before. It will still be a challenge but it wont be like punching a brick wall hoping your gonna break it down somehow.
Map variety… wtf are these maps? did you even try releasing some unique maps most of them are just different versions of the same map. The spawns are jacked up too. I spawn 10 miles away from the fight and run all the way to it only for it to be over. So I turn my back and boom they spawn on where they died and kill me. Also I don’t want to play the same map over and over again game after game. I played 5 games in a row on the the same map. Regret… I hate thay map with a passion. Bring back voting. Like why take it out?
Finally voice chat… No one talks or communicates. Everyone who has a mic doesn’t say anything or listening to stratagey or call stuff out. And the spartan call outs are completely off. They yell something and you respond to location but its over. There isn’t big value in the callouts when by the time you can respond it’s too late or it’s led you into a trap. I think it needs some work. We need some sort of ping system like we had in campaign. Or the ability to press the dpad to give specific commands rather than letting the game decide for us. Give us the ability to say Enemy! Enemy Low! Defend! Target Killed! Retreat! Give differet game modes different things we can say. we got 4 buttons that we don’t use. Add some features for easier communication than the standard call outs that are usually useless for thest most part.
Anyways that’s my rant on the status of Halo 5 atm.
