Multiplayer/Ranking Idea for Possible Halo 5

Ranking System:
Level 1 to Level 2 = 2 Won Games
Level 2 to Level 3 = 3 Won Games
Level 3 to Level 4 = 4 Won Games
Level 4 to Level 5 = 5 Won Games
This cycle continues to level 25. Once you achieve Level 25, you will be allowed to go from the Iron Division to the Bronze Division. For example, if you are a Level 1, Bronze Division and you lose a game you will not be reset back to the Iron Division. Each division you join will unlock you a new weapon skin, a new emblem, a new specialization, and a new set of armor.
Divisions:
Iron Division
Bronze Division
Silver Division
Gold Division
Onyx Division
The catch is every game that you lose, it subtracts one won game. You will earn credits for every game you play to purchase standard armor and other gear, but credits will have nothing to do with your rank.
Standard Playlists:
8 Player FFA
16 Player FFA
4v4 Team Slayer
6v6 Team Slayer
8v8 Team Slayer
4v4 Team Objective
6v6 Team Objective
8v8 Team Objective
Advanced Playlists:
Infection
Team Doubles
SWAT
No Shield 8 Player FFA
No Shield 16 Player FFA
No Shield 4v4 Team Slayer
No Shield 6b6 Team Slayer
No Shield 8v8 Team Slayer
Action Sack

Kinda of early to be talking about Halo 5, don’t you think?

Plus, I think that was the system that was pretty much used in Halo 2.

It’s still a damn good system.

I think we need to move away from skill based ranking systems that rely solely on winning… considering that individual skill is a large factor in online matchmaking.

> I think we need to move away from skill based ranking systems that rely solely on winning… considering that individual skill is a large factor in online matchmaking.

I think you’re ignorant, considering the fact that you’re (most likely) playing a team-based playlist.

There already was an individual skill ranking system in Reach, known as Arena. Which, in case you’re oblivious to matchmaking changes, was scrapped after the first 5-7 seasons due to the way it made players play the game, and due to how unpopular it was compared to the old system.

Promoting individualism in a team-based game is illogical.

First please dont name call if you dont know the person please.

Second teamwork is very important but if people dont have skill teamwork will not help you because you need skilled players to be effective in a team.

Your idea of a ranking system is good, but too many playlists, this will split the population way too much.
