I am a big Halo fan since halo CE on pc. I spent countless hours on halo 3 multiplayer. When I started catching up halo 4 news I found out about multiplayer progression. Now halo reach and halo 3 had multiplayer progression but it never affected game play it was just cosmetic. This was one of the major reasons I loved halo over cod and other games, its the fact that no matter how long you’ve played when you enter the game you and everyone else have access to the same things and are all even.
Halo 4 is changing this by adding multiplayer progression that lets unlock guns and armor abilities for when your load outs. Load outs are ok by me it sounds like it could be fun, BUT putting me into a game where that guy has a gun that I cannot have unless I find it or have played as long as he has, that right there is not a fair and = game. The game isn’t fair anymore the guy who’s played longer gets an edge over you just because hes played longer instead of it being a game of skill. If any of you play starcraft its like you need to unlock units outside the game before you can use them in the game. Ya sure when everyone reaches the top level its fair but if a new person starts playing he wont be as good and it wont be his fault. To me multiplayer progression that effects the game is bad game design and values time played over actual skill.
