Multiplayer needs to disappear until further notice

Know the feeling. I used to play Halo games in the morning and on my breaks then later when I get back home. While with Halo Infinite I just can’t be bothered and I’m at a point where I rather just go play MCC or a different game entirely. Right now I’m only seemingly logging in for the xmas reward to play 1 match a day then quit. I’m actually already bored of Infinite’s multiplayer. It’s like I’m max rank on Halo 4/Reach/HW1 on 360 and max rank on Halo 5 and fairly high up in MCC but with Infinite I’m barely at 20 and I just can’t see much reason to care about reaching 100 on BP since the grind is tedious.

Reach didn’t have a stranglehold on the market. And the reason Halo 3 did so well because it was a huge marketing juggernaut with no real competitors. Cod hadn’t became the dominant FPS juggernaut. There was no GTA online or any equivalent.

The only things around were Gears of War and maybe Call of Duty 3 of you’re generous. I think people forget how much Halo 3 was marketed as a major Blockbuster Trilogy Ender. Back when that was still a thing.

Halo kind of blew it’s load with Halo 3 and finishing the trilogy and no other Halo game could generate a similar level of interest before release.

And now Halo is an old juggernaut trying to succeed in a sea of F2P and Battle Royales. Kids are excited to play Minecraft and Roblox. Fornite dominates and CoD is the leading “gown up” MP game.

Its surprising Halo Infinite has managed to rebrand Halo as a Return of sorts and had any level of significant success.

Wonder if it will transfer to the new cores. Be cool of those coatings we’re universal but who knows if they will do that

I agree with most of what you said. However, I don’t agree with the sentiment that Halo has little or no chance, simply because it’s old. Or portraying it as outdated.

I do think Halo Infinite missed a great opportunity it had. People have really been craving nostalgia lately. Millennials are reaching that age. They could have piggy-backed off this more. They did a little bit, which is why Infinite was so surprisingly successful after 2 terrible games that killed it. Like all things Microsoft, they did the right thing but in all the wrong ways. Microsoft has a tendency to just miss the mark in virtually everything they do. They should have launched this game with crazy good customization (Piss off with cores and coatings), ALL armor that existed in other Halo’s should be unlockable for free. Then just new content would be at a cost. Honestly, if they did that I doubt that many people would be complaining about the $20 armor sets in the store. I feel most people are only mad about that because they are resentful they weren’t given jack in the base free customization. Forge would have really helped with marketing as well… All sorts of fun game modes would be on TikTok, and it would attract social players, which I feel are players more likely to care about things like customization and buy store things.

I can understand that you feel that the title of this thread is spam, however it is a legitimate complaint. You my friend created a spam comment. You said that I should be canceled for my opinion by being reported as spam, just because you don’t agree with it. However there are tones of people in this thread that have different opinions and their opinions are not being reported like yours. You may have your opinion my friend but there is always a way in going about it. You came off very belligerent and manic and most of us I feel do not appropriate that.

People (me included) didn’t like Halo3 they had an addiction to it. The people who experienced H3 in 2007/8 have been having withdrawals for 12 years. Withdrawals makes us say crazy things!

The Assault Rifle needs to be nerfed, it currently has way too much range and it’s way too accurate. The Assault Rifle should be a gun you’re using somewhere up to the range of like 35-40 feet away at most, not spamming halfway across the map it’s not a precision weapon so don’t treat it like one.

Another thing is that we are in desperate need of more Battle Rifle start playlists, it’s absolutely absurd to me that anyone could even possibly enjoy playing BTB that’s 12v12 and only spawn in with an Assault Rifle and Pistol that function as a bullet hose and a pea shooter in that type of mode on maps that are 2x-3x bigger than the 4v4 maps. I’m one of the people who ABSOLUTELY HATE spawning with an Assault Rifle and Pistol in any Halo game that isn’t Halo: CE, it’s either Battle Rifle starts or nothing for me. We only have 1 playlist (with shields) that spawns you with a Battle Rifle which is completely ridiculous. I’m already Onyx in the Ranked Arena playlist so I’ve been playing a pretty fair amount, but in every other 4v4 playlist or even FFA I find myself staying around or at the Battle Rifle spawn just to make sure I can keep one. I shouldn’t need to do that just to get the only primary weapon I want.

Last thing is that we need more maps, having only 5 4v4 maps is nor enough, the game should have either launched with Forge or been delayed to make sure it was included.

Exactly.

Infinite does not scratch that itch.

Look at halo 2 and 3. They did multiplayer right. Symmetrical maps, even spawns (including weapon/power up spawns), almost no ‘flashy’ stuff.

Look at reach and after. Asymmetrical maps, uneven spawns (including weapon/power ups), and way too much ‘flashy’ stuff that is as easy as pressing a button.

Halo 3, Flashy was performing a ninja, while in a BR fight, winning both, turning around and no scoping an enemy. (For example).

Infinite, Flashy is pressing a button and using grapple shot/thrusters.

Video killed the radio star, Microtransactions and bad development decisions killed the video game.

The problem is that the overwhelming majority of B/C weapons that are useful. Only weapons that are unviable (not useless, just require very specific circumstances to rise to be advantageous) are the Disruptor and Ravager. Every other B/C weapon has a solid place in the weapon sandbox, some such as Mangler are insanely overpowered, and you’ll see pros exploiting the utility of these weapons every single HCS match.

Educational is now belligerent and manic, yeah alright. I’m begging the Azure gods to get the servers to match us, absolutely ridiculous any kind of challenging point made is going to come across as flagarant.

Nothing wrong with voicing your opinion by the way, just threads already exist. Tell me what is going to get more traction on an issue, and this is completely serious by the way when your thread has already been made and in discussion in several others. What point does it make differently than being all about you and not the community?

I always thought the guidelines were straightforward but maybe you should review them and see where your post would’ve actually carried the conversation further than pointing fingers on whose spamming and looking for validation in complaining.

How 343 is handling this game is why I’m playing Halo Reach right now.

I think the game is fine and it has a crap ton of people playing. Not going out on a limb when I say your opinion is. A minority opinion.

Solo queuing up in ranked is pretty much playing to lose. You’re relying on an AI matchmaker to give you teammates instead of picking your own, so it’s kind of sortive to be expected… You’re going to deal with a lot of bad teammates this way.

This is a good point, like the sandbox to include this many weapons already with such a specific application the potential to see more weapons is greater and honestly both the Ravager and Disruptor are really good weapons.

Hahah I hope the servers match us too big boy. I would enjoy listening to you cry some more when I surprise you  just because I’m complaining about some things does not mean I’m bad, can’t wait for you to make that connection. And look at you, you’re just mad because I decided to use your own tactic against you by flaging your post instead. You can’t make that more obvious. I’m sorry you don’t agree with my diagnosis of your psyche when it’s plain as day. However this would be a good time to stop sharing your “opinions”.

I can 100% assure you, at least with the Sniper Rifle, that isn’t how it works.

Aozolai has a video analyzing the sniper, and it shows the sniper in Infinite has almost 0 magnetism whatsoever, and that you actually need to land on target to hit your mark.

Yeah I dropped the MP after about 2 weeks, why play this garbage when you can play MCC and actually get a good, refined experience. It feels like they released this game YEARS early given its current state. The game has a list of problems a mile long. PC already had cheaters in every other match after the first few days.

I understand you may have seen something that goes in depth on the sniper rifle. It does seem that you have to be somewhat accurate with it in order to land the headshot. Though when I said what I said about it having a 5 foot radius, I should of clarified by saying it does it when strafing the targets head, not stationary. I’ve seen some replays on compilations that are quite unbelievable along with some personal experiences. And that’s why I felt the need to mention it in my original post.

what kind of dumb response is this?!?!?!?
