Before I say anything, this is not hate or anything like that. I think Halo 5 is a fantastic game, except for the multiplayer map selection (4v4, big team). I’m not asking 343 to jump into development of 25 maps and have them out next week, but what about forge maps? I would LOVE to see some old favorites turn up in matchmaking. One more note on Big Team maps, I know Warzone has vehicular combat and all that, but I would really, really like to see more vehicle oriented maps in the playlist. I think if there was a better selection of maps, we’d have a very special game in our hands.
I know they are planning to add a community playlist or at least add BTB maps made by the community such as the sandtrap remake they showcased.
Also, im pretty sure they confirmed original maps are going to start to be released starting with the February update, atleast thats what it looked like with the teaser

I knowww, but luckily we are getting brand new maps. In total, for a 3 month DLC we have gotten a lot more, even though the maps are remixed. But with brand new maps are coming, I really think this Halo is like the bang for your buck. Sure we might get remixes but really we aren’t paying for anything. But not everything is technically free, there is always a cost involved!
the thing is this isnt just a problem in halo its becoming more and more of an issue the past couple of years. all these triple a games are lowering the mp map count year after year. halo ce when it launched had 25 maps… 25. and that was when there was no online community. halo 5 had 8 maps (not counting forge made maps or breakout-had a whopping 1)which is nearly insulting. all that said 343 is at least giving us maps for free. which is how all dlc should be.

343 should stop making reqs. They need to get on with gametypes and maps so that halo 5 is at the standard it should be. “they’re coming next month” it’s been 3 months since the game released, and the game was delayed so they could add/finish more stuff. Well the campaign was bad so I don’t know why that took up so much time, unless they just changed the story 4 months before release, cause that’s what it feels like. Pfft, answers why the advertisements were nothing to do with the game. And what else was there that they took long on? The gametypes, the maps? clearly not.

I would like to see a community playlist soon, I know they’ve talked about it but considering that it’s 343 it will probably take a while for them to finish it.
It’d be great if they add some community made BTB maps to the BTB list. The other existing lists need to have some better map rotation. I think Slayer games alternate between like 3 maps.
