Multiplayer Maps - Lo Res Why

Really disappointed with what we have for MM Maps. They look like forge map and have little or no detail in them. It just seems wrong to me.

Check out Ragnarock from Halo 4 and any other map then check Halo 5.

Now answer this:
Which of those maps is Next Gen?

I feel MM has really went backwards in this respect with maps looking like they came fro Halo CE or Halo 2 10 years ago what is going on 343, why do we have these really simple BUTT UGLY maps or is this why you say DLC will be free because nobody would pay for those.

I really am coming round to the opinion that 343 don’t know what they are doing. They should have dropped 60FPS as goal as soon as they realised what the payoff was. I loved exploring the Crimson and Castle maps and the skyboxes really brought those maps to live. Now its like I am playing Minecraft.

Graphical/Enviromental fidelity should never trump framerate, especially in an FPS. People like you are what’s holding back performance on Consoles.

Hell, the issues not the framerate but rather 343’s lackluster art direction.

Maybe not trumped but we should have a balance. Honestly if I was Bonnie Ross or any other bigwig and I saw these maps the first thing I would have said was What Happened. You cant loose all the beautiful locations for legoland just to pander to 60FPS.

Its not even full 60fps, look at people running at a distance, the corner cutting is real.

Sadly there is a strong split among gamers over which is preferable.Hard to say which group is bigger. I personally would much rather have incredible detail instead of 60FPS AS LONG AS the frame rate doesn’t drop. To the point its noticeable. For Example MCC has 60FPS and I also play the older halos on 360 which is not 60 FPS and I see absolutely no difference in the speed, resolution yeah HALO 3 and 4 looks amazing on XB1. But does the slower frame rate affect the game play in MP on the 360 absolutely not

The graphics are pretty weak and uninspired. Halo should promote exploration, even on multiplayer maps. Everything should feel mystic and like an actual place in the Halo universe.
