Multiplayer Maps, and Interactiveness

So, as we know, Halo 4 is getting the Champions Bundle DLC. And on it, the new map Vertigo, has an interactive Element in it where the two buttons on the Base send out an EMP on the main area Stages.

Thanks for this 343. I love when maps like these were around, and it looks like it’s getting a comeback. Halo 2, and Halo 3 Had maps like these, and they were a huge success! They were some of the best maps ever made in Halo.

Like Terminal with It’s train, and the Toll gate in the parking lot.

And Relic with the buttons on the base that opened teleporters to the top of the structure.

And on Turf with the Garage doors, and the radio antenna that fell, and made a bridge.

And on Waterworks with the falling stalagmites.

And Sandtrap with the Mines that Popped out the Ground.

I can go on, but I want maps like these to be shown more. Maps that have elements that create a real game changer, and that have nice Aesthetics. So I hope they return.

Yes.

Interactive naps are awesome.

 Interactive Naps

OT: I would like maps with buttons and elements to shoot, not to mention things like the train. Why not have a pelican that crashes in the centre of a map 3 minutes in, or a building collapses at 10 minutes in?

Maybe a tank that’s dropped by a pelican to use?

A rideable train to the other side of the map pulls up every minute?

A phantom flies in and drops in a wraith to use?

This would all be cool.

NOOOOOOOOOOO

My keyboard has betrayed me! D:

Planet the map is set in begins to get glassed halfway though the match, visibly frying everything and turning the exposed outside sections into a soft damage zone?

I think it would be cool if in Halo 5 we had things like these in forge so us forgers can make even more, unique, cool maps.

I would love to see buttons, doors, extendable bridges etc as forge pieces as well as in on disc maps.

Hopefully we can see a lot more interactive elements in the next Halos

and last resort with its vehicle barriers…

and standoff with its opening/closing gates…

YES! We need more of these, loads on every map.

> Thanks for this 343. Certain Affinity

Fixed!

On topic, yes, we need more interactive maps, it spiced up game-play without ruining it.

However, there should be a way to turn them off if it turns out a map works better without it.

A freaking train! Hell yea! It circles the map with shoot outside going on inside the train, and snipers trying to merc them as it passes. Sounds like a good time to me.
Maybe a factory with Warthogs(that are destroyable)on conveyor lines, smelters, maybe a scrap shredder.

Please don’t revive old topics thanks, especially ones that are over 5 years old
