> Blood Gulch, but I actually have a unique design idea for it, where it will be called “Blood Boiler” and basically be the remains of the original Blood Gulch on an Alpha Shard.
Not gonna lie, that actually sounds really damn dope. Maybe make it so it’s a map set at night.
Have some other map ideas:
The Abyss: based on The Pit/ Pitfall, only instead of the map being based on a UNSC training facility, it will instead be based on a Swords Of Sangheilos training facility, with SoS Ghosts and Phantoms outside a shield barrier.
Courage: based on Headlong/ Breakneck/ Guillotine, only instead of the map being based on New Mombasa, Kenya, it is instead based on New Edinburgh, Scotland.
Cancer: based on Gemini, only the map is in a Flood corrupted state.
Of the remakes, I pretty much only want to see maps that have not yet been remade:
-
Boarding Action - Doesn’t have to be a space map, as long as the layout remains faithful. I love the idea of the map being split down the middle where you can see the opposite side of the level almost the entire time. Sword Base reminded me of it a little in Halo Reach, but it was closer to Prisoner. - Sword Base - Speak of the Devil and he shall appear. - Zealot - While looking a lot like Midship/Heretic, Zealot was a lot more free-flowing like Haven/Mercy. I’d love to play on it again. - Sidewinder - I would love to play on a map that has the same layout as Sidewinder. It doesn’t have to look the same. It could be set in a Covenant open-cut mine or a large-scale Forerunner swamp, etc. I was very disappointed by how much Avalanche cut from Sidewinder; the various ramps, hallways and an entire cliff wall. I realise some people prefer the faster pace of Avalanche, but to me, that map felt tiny, oversimplified and much less fun than Sidewinder. I’d love to see the classic return. - Abandon - What an under-appreciated Halo map. I’d love to play some more local four-player Flood gametypes there again. I’m sure it would be really cool to play some Stalker/Ninjanaut on Abandon as well. - Waterworks - All I ask is, how has this map not been remade yet? I was very surprised when it did not appear in Halo 2 Anniversary. I hope we get to see it again one day. - High Ground or Power House - I realise the layout of these maps are completely different from one another, but I enjoy playing on both. Neither have been remade, and they share the same aesthetics/colour pallet.Maps I do NOT wish to see again due to them being constantly remade include: [The more versions = The less I want to see them again] Spiritual successors are fine
Battle Creek (3 versions), Blood Gulch (4 versions), Chill Out (2 versions), Damnation (2 versions), Derelict (2 versions), Hang 'Em High (3 versions), Longest (2 versions), Prisoner (2 versions), Timberland (2 versions), Wizard (3 versions), Ascension (3 versions), Headlong (2 versions), Ivory Tower (2 versions), Lockout (3 versions), Midship (3 versions), Relic (2 versions), Sanctuary (3 versions), Zanzibar (3 versions), The Pit (2 versions), Valhalla (2 versions), Haven (2 versions)

Interesting. Sidewinder never was a favorite of mine, even back in the days. And just like Boarding Action I don’t think it will work with all of the medium to long range weapons that were added to the sandbox since H2. Too much open playing field, too little cover.
Abandon looked nice, sort of reminded me of Backwash (H2) in terms of setting. Don’t mind a remake or spiritual successor to that.
Fully agree on Waterworks, but again: we no longer only have BR/Carbines so that map too will need some reworking (just like one of my favorites: Containment).
As for the last two: they might not have been the ‘best’ maps but they’re REALLY iconic and they did have some interesting twists to the gameplay, similar to Zanzibar had in H2. Brining back more of these maps that were asymmetrical and had some interactive elements to them would be great. Even if they’re only brought back in concept for a different set of maps.

I wouldn’t say that one remake counts as the maps being “constantly” remade.
I’m not even going to bother reading the OP because this topic has been brought up and beaten millions of times.
There’s no need for remasters in this project. We have a dedicated and masterful amounts of creators out there that Forge exceptionally well. I’d prefer the 343i devs pump out meaningful and fresh maps for multiplayer. We have enough remakes, remasters, and recreations over the course of each Halo title as well as MCC keeping these traditional maps alive today.
Let’s have something new, ok?

True. That’s why I said “The more versions = The less I want to see them again” and highlighted the ones that had three or four versions. That said, if they already have one remake, I’d prefer not to see it again just yet if it appeared in any recent Halo titles (H4, H2A or H5). There are so many other maps they could choose from to remake. There’s also many more original themes and layouts they could come up with and still keep it Halo.
i love to see some remake’s multiplayer maps again but so long there are not make with forge like in halo 5 then i not care what for type remake’s there are coming back in multiplayer.
None of them. Let the community do that, I’d rather them put resources to novel maps.

You can be novel when remaking old maps. For example, Guardian to Lockout, or Valhalla to Blood Gulch.
Not to mention, Forge maps have never matched developer quality visually.
Im a big fan off btb, I really have to say, visually the forge maps seriously look like sh**t for a Xbox one game! I play halo 4 for the older btb maps that never made it into halo 5, exile been my favourite, and the maps that were recreation using forge in halo 5 look so bad! Halo 4 propper company made maps look way better! I hope the company propper make all the btb maps from halo 4 & 5 & some fresh ones or pray that the forge pieces actually look real and half descent this time round with out stupid designs on the pieces!

look halo 5 remake’s with force how worse the remasters look like.
thats the work from the community and its looks worse.
for exemple: Deadlock is remake off Standoff tell me Vicex EMS what looks better from the 2 deadlock or standoff
Guillotine remake off Headlong halo 2
Basin remake off Valhalla halo 3
Recurve remake off Longbow halo 4
Mercy is remake off Haven halo 4
Altar is remake off Sandtrap halo 3
Viking is also remake off Valhalla halo 3
Antifreeze a remake mix off Sidewinder and Avalanche halo 1 and halo 3 mix
on off the only best remake’s what the developers have make as a good remake maps is
Truth is the remake from Midship halo 2
now Vicex EMS what looks better the remake’s that the comunmenty have make or the original versions that the developers have make
i go for the developers versions off all then
My small list (by no means all that should come) Hang em’ High, Burial Grounds, Guardian, Haven, Torque
The 2 maps I want to see return the most are The Pit and High Ground both from Halo 3.
I’d like rats nest and guardian from h3.

> Here’s a few of my own ideas. Please note any remakes of previously existing maps won’t be listed twice; if I list a remake, it’s because I prefer the remake to the original. I’m not saying ALL of these need to return, this is just a pool of my favorites I want to see back.

The developer remakes may be photogenic, but they function nearly the exact same way the originals do and offer nothing by means of new mechanics/flows to old maps. There is nothing wrong playing homage to classics- but there is no reason to put resources into recycling the same maps over and over again. I don’t like to pay for a game I already have, I like new stuff I haven’t experienced yet.
The community is more than capable of using forge assets to remake old maps, even if they don’t look as pretty as the new maps we are given for the next Halo game.

i know new maps are needed in each new halo to make it fun thats one thing for sure.
but the problem is more if you let the comunnety remake some maps with forge then its looking more gray and black.
and if the developers make the remake’s off some old multiplayer maps from other halo’s then you have a remake with the same elements like the original multiplayer maps from older halo titels then you have a good remake that almost looks 100% the same like the original map.
i have notting against the comunnety making some off the maps with forge but then are maps like Forge wold good for then to make something big and new for a multiplayer map like a slayer game on few UNSC Ships there make thats something a developer not can do easy and thats something better what the communety think is more happy then a bad remake from then from some maps.
I wouldnt mind seeing guardian from halo 3
