Multiplayer Issues

Hi there,

I’ve spoken to Microsoft Support several times trying to get Halo 5 Multiplayer to work but after hours of attempting the many processes provided, am still unsuccessful in my pursuit. They have now informed me to post on here so the game developers can look into my case/account to try fix the issue at hand. I keep getting the message saying there are not enough players to support this game type, which comes up when attempting to load any multiplayer variant available on Halo 5. Hopefully this is enough information to solve the issue and I will once again be able to enjoy playing my Xbox as I haven’t been able to for about two weeks now due to this inconvenience.

Thank you.

May I ask what your player reputation is on Xbox Live?

what do you mean by my reputation on xbox live sorry?

Player reputation is a measure of your behaviour in multiplayer games (from a variety of different sources). If you sign into your Xbox account here and refresh the page it should tell you. Sometimes if your reputation is not good, then it can affect your ability to find matches on certain games.

If everything seems good with your reputation, then I’ve got a few other things to suggest:

  • Are you able to find match made games in other games you have? If so, then it is unlikely to be a restriction on your account. If not, check to see if Xbox Live Gold is still working, and check your privacy settings (Microsoft may have updated their terms of use and you may need to accept something). - Next, you’ll have to check your connection (Halo 5 is very picky sometimes on particular network configurations). Make sure your NAT types is open, test a wired connection, reset Alternate MAC Address, etc. (all the general network troubleshooting to see if that appears to be the problem). - Do you play at a time and region where there are likely to be lots of other players?
