Aside from the matchmaking problems going on right now, am I the only person who is angry about how multiplayer has been setup? I may be wrong, and if I am please tell me, but can you not just play Halo 2, or Halo 3 slayer by itself? Every place I look you vote on map and game. If this is true, doesn’t that seem like a very bad way to make multiplayer? Shouldn’t we be able to chose which Halo, then game type, then vote on a map? I don’t want to have an accidental game of CTF, KOH, or Oddball because people voted on a map, or forced to vote for a map I don’t like because I want to play slayer.
Although i honestly don’t have a problem with how the multiplayer is set up, you do have a good idea.
They could have two voting sections, one which decides the halo game, and the other that decides what gametype.
It’s not impossible, but also remember, the game is brand spankin new. 
No game is perfect the first day when it comes to games that connect online. An update can fix anything that can make the game improve alot more.
One i thing i do have a problem with, its just a small issue. Its i want to know how many players are online on a certain playlist or atleast online at the same time as me, like the way you can see that on H3, H: Reach, and H4.
I don’t want voting on which Halo. I should be able to choose which Halo I want to play, then the game style, and then the people in your party vote on the map. Not a hodge podge of you could play what you want, or you might get stuck with something you don’t. Or do it like it used to be, pick your game, and get a random map.
I agree, but people seem to not care that much around here. You will usually get a response like “don’t worry, 343 will be updating the playlists” but I don’t want to wait weeks before I can play a specific game type in a specific Halo game. It’s a ridiculous amount of variables. If you want to Play Halo 2 Team Slayer, you have to choose the Halo 2 Classic playlist and then hope a Team Slayer option appears on the vote, then hope that everyone votes for it, and you are screwed if it isn’t even a map you like. Or you could choose the Team Slayer playlist, and hope one of vote options is a Halo 2 Classic map, then hope everyone votes for it.
